We’ve got some interesting wedding news for you – the time of year you get married is going to be epically important. Not just because of the weather, the climate, or who out of your family can make it to your big day, but also because time of year dramatically affects how expensive (or how affordable!) certain wedding aspects are.

If this is news to you, no worries! We try to do everything in our power to bring the must-know-wedding-secrets directly to you!

We don’t just provide you with tons of options for wedding dresses and cheap wedding dresses, we also try to provide you with every tip, trick, secret, and piece of advice that we possibly can!

Check out some of our wedding season knowledge below as we dissect which months are likely the most affordable to get married in for the upcoming year!

Months Not to Get Married

We’re going to be totally blunt — if you’re trying to save cash when it comes to your wedding budget, then you’re going to want to stay far away from wedding season.

You’ve obviously heard of wedding season, that ideal window of time between May and October where the weather is perfect and relatively predictable (depending on your location, of course, but you get the point).

Late spring to early fall is a hugely popular time for couples to get married, mostly based on the weather and the time off that people are able to get to attend weddings, and because of this, wedding venues and vendors are likely going to take advantage of that. It’s nothing personal, just smart planning on their part. That being said, if you want to plan smart, you’re best to avoid this part of wedding season entirely. We also recommend staying away from December, as Christmas is a hugely popular time to get married!

The Months That Make the Most Financial Sense

That brings us to the months that make the most financial sense – December through early May. Why? We’ll explain it all here!

 January, February

Unless you live somewhere exceptionally tropical, you’re likely going to be dealing with a very chilly winter – and most people aren’t keen on having weddings in the cold, sleet, and snow. If you can deal with the icy weather, you can basically guarantee cheaper wedding vendors and services.

March, April, May

The weather is a little bit unpredictable in the early months of spring, so people tend to avoid weddings during these months. This means that vendors and venues aren’t getting as much business as they normally would during their popular wedding season, this, in turn, drives the price way down! Having your wedding in the off-season is an easy, decisive step toward creating a more budget-friendly wedding. If you’re okay dealing with a little unpredictability with the weather, you can save a ton of money!

I’ve always dreamt about my own wedding. I even have a very clear plan in my mind of the theme that it will have, the floral arrangements, the table arrangements, and even the music I want in the background. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Many women fantasize about their big day, and most importantly, about their wedding dresses. I’ve personally always been attracted by the boho chic style, as well as form-fitting gowns that feature delicate pearl inserts.

Pearl-studded wedding dresses are truly something to behold. They flow like soft waves and have a unique fragility to them. Below are my top 10 picks for wedding dresses with pearls:

1. Vintage Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Vintage wedding dresses have become very popular over the past few years and more and more brides are choosing vintage-inspired gowns for their big day. This is a classic pearl-studded model that comes with a beautiful wrist accessory that’s also pearl-embellished. In case you are planning your own wedding, you can also accessorize with some simple pearl earrings for a modern touch that will go hand in hand with this vintage dress.

2. Sophisticated Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Image: sophisticated pearl wedding dress (Source: Pinterest)

This is probably the epitome of sophisticated but it’s a wedding dress that looks fabulous. The bottom part is very simple and flows all over the body while the top part has middle-length sleeves and no cleavage is shown. The beautiful things about it are the small pearls that are all over the top, including on the sleeves, which offer this gown an even more precious look.

3. Off the Shoulder Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

This is again a very bohemian-inspired wedding dress that leaves the shoulders completely bare and only covers the arms with two beautifully embroidered sleeves. The rest of the dress is simple yet elegant and gives off that mermaid tale impression. The entire gown is covered in small natural pearls which is why no other accessories are needed for it. This dress itself is a real jewel.

4. Carefree Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Image: carefree pearl wedding dress (Source: Pinterest)

Not all women like a very stiff and complex dress for their wedding day. There are some who prefer a much simpler design in which they can feel free of any care in the world. This dress is a perfect example of simple yet sophisticated, thanks to the countless pearls that are spread all over it. With only two thin straps at the top and a long, flowy bottom part, this gown is the obvious choice for those who don’t want corsets or harsh fabrics for their big day.

5. Glam Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Recently, everyone has begun adoring pearl-studded bridal gowns in all of their shapes and sizes. This is yet another example of a beautiful yet very simple such dress that is embellished with lots of tiny white pearls. The top part is very simple leaving all the attention to fall on the middle flower embroidery and on the pearls. The veil has lots of pearls too, completing the look perfectly.

6. Sheer Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

For those who feel brave enough, this type of sheer wedding gown is the best choice. Add some pearls into the mix and you get a truly one of a kind dress. It is completely covered in a sheer material that is embellished with small pearls, leaving a glimpse of the legs to be seen. Put on a nice bracelet and you’re ready for the wedding.

7. Simple Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Image: simple pearl wedding dress (Source: Pinterest)

One of the simplest yet very delicate wedding dresses that a future bride can possibly choose, this pearl-studded bridal gown certainly has a very discreet but gorgeous design. Pearls cover this otherwise basic white dress entirely giving it a whole new purpose and appearance. This is a very safe choice for a bride who loves pearls but is not very flamboyant.

8. Rustic Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

A perfect dress for someone who wants to feel closer to nature while still wearing an elegant and stunning wedding gown. Apart from being embellished with tiny pearls all over the top area, the bridal gown also has an ivory-colored ribbon that’s tied around the waist. This particular bride doesn’t even wear heels, so it’s perfectly fine to follow her example if you want to feel as comfortable as possible.

9. Delicate Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

The entire atmosphere that surrounds this wedding gown is created by that stunning white veil that almost covers the bride’s head. The top part of the dress is covered in a pearl embroidery as the lower part is very simple but very beautiful. A pair of delicate earrings are all you need should you choose to wear such a dress for your big day.

10. Princess-Like Pearl-Studded Wedding Dress

Finally, this is probably one of the wedding dresses that is the closest in resemblance to a real princess gown. Many future brides (not me, though :P) love these puffy designs because, while it looks gorgeous, it’s also comfortable to walk in. This pale pink bridal gown is completely studded with pearls over its entire surface, making it a bit heavier than usual. Still, it’s truly a fairytale dress, one that any bride would love to wear.

Kanye West kept it simple in a basic black Givenchy tux.

After a costume change, Kim Kardashian, 33, later joined the reception in a short frock by Balmain.

E!’s photos include one shot of the smiling Kim Kardashian and Kanye West holding hands as they exit the aisle following their exchange of vows. In another, they share a kiss before the massive wall of white flowers that provided a backdrop to the affair. The website also snagged a photo from Kim Kardashian’s final dress fitting with Riccardo Tisci that shows her appropriately over-the-top train flowing out behind her.

After Kim Kardashian and Kanye West slipped rings on one another’s fingers, they enjoyed a musical homage to their union courtesy of John Legend, who performed All of Me.

At the reception, the four-course meal and seven-layer wedding cake were accompanied by some 1,000 bottles of Ace of Spades rose champagne, according to ET.

June Shannon wore a bizarre camouflage wedding dress for her nuptials with Honey Boo Boo’s father Sugar Bear in their Georgia back garden on Sunday.

Honey Boo Boo, 7, was dressed for the occasion in an outlandishly poofy pink and peach gown.

June Shannon, 33, will be shown tying the knot with her partner of nine years Mike Thompson on the family’s television show Her Comes Honey Boo Boo.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson was happy to play second fiddle as she finally watched her parents exchange vows.

Her sisters Lauryn “Pumpkin”, Anna “Chickadee” and Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon were also important attendees at the event.

But despite appearances, Mama June told People magazine they had been careful not to have an extravagant ceremony, which was marked with a family barbecue.

June Shannon said: “My sister baked the cake, and we spent most of the money on barbecue.

“We stayed true to our roots and made the focus on the family and my commitment to Sugar Bear.

“You can definitely plan an event on a budget!”

Mama June also revealed getting hitched to her 41-year-old partner will be a moment that lives long in the memory.

June Shannon said: “The day was very special mostly because my girls were able to take part in it.

“I felt like it was important for them to see this moment and celebrate my love for Sugar Bear.”

Honey Boo Boo’s mother also said she has plenty of tips to pass on to her family about finding the ideal husband.

“Never settle for a man who doesn’t treat you right. If a guy doesn’t love everything about you, move on! There are plenty of other fish in the sea.

“I give this advice to my daughters because I always want them to be themselves and surround themselves with people who love them for them,” said June Shannon.

Mama June and Sugar Bear first met on an online chat room nine years ago and hit it off.

Soon the pair got together, and their now famous daughter Honey Boo Boo was born two years later.

Video cameras captured the ceremony in all its glory, though guests were reportedly told no mobile phones or cameras were allowed at the wedding.

June Shannon and her daughter Alana Thompson shot to fame after appearing on reality show Toddlers and Tiaras before landing their own programme, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

Angelina Jolie has reportedly chosen L’Wren Scott to create the dress for her wedding to Brad Pitt.

According to Grazia magazine, Angelina Jolie requested L’Wren Scott, who is best known for her chic and sophisticated red carpet designs, to fashion a custom-made gown for her wedding.

“She’s been courted by some of the hottest designers on the planet, but having a big name isn’t important to her… Of all the people she’s met with she feels L’Wren is the one that understands her body the most,” a source told the magazine.

The source added: “Angelina wanted someone who is not so obvious for designing wedding gowns. L’Wren is famed for designing clothes to suit taller, thin women like herself.”

Angelina Jolie, 37, has worn L’Wren Scott’s eponymous label on numerous occasions.

In 2008 Angelina Jolie wore a black dress to the premiere of Brad Pitt’s film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and in 2011 she opted for an unfussy red number for the Moneyball premiere.

Angelina Jolie has reportedly chosen L’Wren Scott to create the dress for her wedding to Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has been married twice before, to Jonny Lee Miller between 1996 and 1999 and then Billy Bob Thornton, from 2000 to 2003.

For her first wedding Angelina Jolie famously sported an unconventional ensemble consisting of black rubber trousers and a white T-shirt emblazoned the groom’s name written with her own blood.

Brad Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston lasted five years before they announced they were divorcing in early 2005 – which came after he had met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Brangelina – as they became known – quickly became a Hollywood power couple, with a brood of six children; five-year-old Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged 3, along with three adopted children Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, and Zahara, 7.

Although no further details of their nuptials, including the date, have emerged, it is thought that they will stage the event at their house in the South of France.

Former model L’Wren Scott, who has been in a relationship with Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger since 2002, has dressed Angelina Jolie many times for red carpet appearances, as well as the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz.

Fitting should also be easy to arrange as L’Wren lives in the house next door to the one Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt purchased in Richmond, Surrey, earlier this year.

Canadian bride Maria Pantazopoulos has drowned during a photoshoot as she posed in her wedding dress in water at a Quebec park.

Real estate agent Maria Pantazopoulos, 30, drowned after her dress got wet and she was dragged into the river near a “violently” rushing waterfall in Canada.

Friends said she had been taking part in an increasingly popular ritual called “Trash the Dress”, in which brides pose for pictures while playfully destroying their wedding gowns.

Maria Pantazopoulos slipped and fell into the Ouareau River near Dorwin Falls, north of Montreal, on Friday afternoon. Her body was found about two and a half hours later.

The newly-wed yelled: “I’m slipping, I’m slipping, I’m slipping,” before falling off the rock she was perched on for her wedding pictures, according to CBC.

Canadian bride Maria Pantazopoulos has drowned during a photoshoot as she posed in her wedding dress in water at a Quebec park

Maria Pantazopoulos had commissioned the shoot following her June 9 wedding.

Family friend Leeza Pousoulidis said: “She’s a really fun girl, and she just didn’t want her wedding dress sitting in a box in the closet.

“She said: <<I want to have fun with my wedding dress. I want to have great pictures and memories of me in my wedding dress>>.”

Leeza Pousoulidis said her friend was “a strong, tough girl”.

“She was very petite, but she was strong in character and in physical strength as well,” Leeza Pousoulidis told the Montreal Gazette.

“She was very happy and caring. She had a big heart.”

Maria Pantazopoulos slipped while she was being photographed by Louis Pagakis, who told CTV Montreal that he did everything he could to save her.

“She had her wedding dress on and she said, <<take some pictures of me while I swim a little bit in the lake>>,” he said.

“She went in and her dress got heavy, I tried everything I could to save her.”

Quebec provincial police spokesman Sgt. Ronald McInnis described the site as being elevated and rocky, with water “violently” rushing below.

“She was doing the photo shoot in about six inches or one foot of water when part of her wedding dress got soaked and became extremely heavy,” Ronald McInnis said.

“She started slipping and falling down when the photographer grabbed her but she was too heavy that he couldn’t pull her from the edge.

“Another person tried to grab her but also was unable to save her from falling into the river.”

Ronald McInnis said Maria Pantazopoulos, from Laval, a small Island north of Montreal, was found 100 feet from where she fell by a private diver who knows the river and volunteered to help with the search.

The diver pulled the young woman’s body from an area of the river which was 20 feet deep.

“She had sunk to the bottom,” Ronald McInnis said.

Two witnesses, believed to be the photographer and an assistant, were hospitalized for extreme shock.

Ronald McInnis said the bride’s husband was not present for the photo-shoot and neither were any family members.

However, her cousins and her brother went to the site when they heard that she had fallen.

“It’s horrible,” Ronald McInnis said.

“This is the first time I’ve heard of a story like that. I told my partner, this is a story that is going to go all around the world.”

Maria Pantazopoulos wanted the fun photos taken at the falls, perched on the rocks in her gown, Marco Michaud, a colleague of the photographer taking the pictures told CBC.

She chose the beautiful site, located near the small city of Rawdon, as the backdrop.

Maria Pantazopoulos’s family has declined to speak to the media.
