A shocking footage of police forcefully pepper spraying a group of Occupy demonstrators staging a sit down protest the University of California, Davis, has emerged.

The images of the tense standoff between police and students show an officer using pepper spray on a group of protesters who appear to be sitting passively on the ground with their arms interlocked.

Witnesses watched in horror as police moved in on more than a dozen tents erected in the campus quad drenching demonstrators with the burning yellow spray and arresting 10 people, nine of them students.

A shocking footage of police forcefully pepper spraying a group of Occupy demonstrators staging a sit down protest the University of California, Davis, has emerged

The footage shows how the officer displays a bottle before spraying its contents on the seated protesters in a sweeping motion while walking back and forth. Most of the protesters have their heads down, but at least one is hit in the face.

Some members of a crowd gathered at the scene scream and cry out. The crowd then chants, “Shame on You,” as the protesters on the ground are led away. The officers retreat minutes later with helmets on and batons drawn.

It’s not clear from the video what agency the officer who used the pepper spray represents.

Officers from UC Davis and other UC campuses as well as the city of Davis responded to the protest, according to Annette Spicuzza, UC Davis police chief. Davis is about 80 miles north of San Francisco.

Annette Spicuzza told the Sacramento Bee that police used the pepper spray after they were surrounded. Protesters were warned repeatedly beforehand that force would be used if they didn’t move, she said.

“There was no way out of that circle,” Annette Spicuzza said.

“They were cutting the officers off from their support. It’s a very volatile situation.”

The tents went up on Thursday, and protesters were apparently warned on Friday morning that they had until 3:00 p.m. to take them down or they would be removed.

On Friday, the university’s chancellor Linda Katehi released a statement saying the police had no option.

“Following our requests, several of the group chose to dismantle their tents this afternoon and we are grateful for their actions. However a number of protesters refused our warning, offering us no option but to ask the police to assist in their removal.

“We are saddened to report that during this activity, 10 protestors were arrested and pepper spray was used. We will be reviewing the details of the incident,” Linda Katehi told the New York Daily News.

On Saturday, the chancellor had harsher words for the officers, saying that her office would be launching an investigation into the incident.

“The use of the pepper spray as shown on the video is chilling to us all and raises many questions about how best to handle situations like this,” Linda Katehi said.

“The university lacked the resources to keep the protest site from becoming a public health hazard,” she said.

Tyler Dasher, an one-year-old missing toddler from Affton, Missouri has been found dead in the woods just few hours he was reported vanished from his home.

One person has been arrested in connection with the death of Tyler Dasher.

The boy was discovered by dog walkers at 3:30 p.m. yesterday, one mile from his St Louis suburban home in Affton, and 100 ft from a busy main road.

It followed a frantic four-hour emergency services search for the child.

Toddler’s mother Shelby Dasher, 20, said she had put him to bed at 10:30 p.m. on Monday night.

Tyler Dasher, an one-year-old missing toddler from Affton, Missouri has been found dead in the woods just few hours he was reported vanished from his home

Shelby Dasher told police she had then overslept, and when she awoke at 11:00 a.m. found the boy was missing.

At 5:42 this morning, St Louis County police issued a news release saying that a person had been taken into custody. They would not release any more details or say if it was a man or a woman.

STLToday.com reported that at 6:30 a.m., police escorted someone who appeared to be a woman to where the body was found and then to Tyler Dasher’s home.

Detectives conducted interviews through the night as they investigated Tyler Dasher’s death. Among those being interviewing were Tyler Dasher’s mother, father and grandmother.

A witness reported seeing an adult in a dark sweatshirt walking down the street, carrying a child wrapped in a blanket in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

But there was no signs of forced entry into the home where the child was sleeping.

St Louis Country Police chief said a medical examiner did not immediately determine the cause of death.

He told STLToday.com: “Anyone that would take a child into a wooded area like this needs to be dealt with severely by the criminal justice system.”

Police chief called for anyone involved in Tyler Dasher’s death to be brought to justice, but said that there were no immediate suspects.

Officer Rick Eckhard, of St Louis County Police Department, said: “There is no way to explain how this child got out of his crib, out of his room and out of the house.”

Yesterday an area near the cemetery was cordoned off with yellow police tape as force dogs sniffed the ground. A cluster of young adults cried and hugged as they looked on.

KSDK reported that mother Shelby Dasher filed a restraining order against Tyler Dasher’s dad Joseph Ellington in the fall of 2010. The order was cancelled one month later.

A local St Louis news outlet also reported that in March of this year, Joseph Ellington’s parents attempted to be named his legal guardians, claiming he is disabled.

Jordan Landon, a 9-year-old girl from North Carolina was trapped in a car for two days, being stuck by a seatbelt and lay next to the body of her dead father who was killed in the crash.

Police believe the accident happened at around 10:00 p.m. on Friday night in rural Craven County, North Carolina after the father, Douglas Landon, 39, and daughter left a gas station just a few miles from their home.

Jordan Landon survived in freezing temperatures by eating Pop-Tarts and drinking Gatorade.

Girl’s mother and Douglas Landon’s girlfriend of 20 years, Claudette Leohmann went looking for them when they didn’t return home and reported them missing to the police.

It was only on Sunday evening that Jordan Landon was rescued after a man walking along the road spotted the overturned 1995 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in the ten-foot ditch and called police.

At first, the emergency services believed both father and daughter were dead until Jordan Landon made a small whimper.

It took three fire and rescue teams more than an hour to free her from the car using hydraulic equipment

Sergeant David Clifton told ABC News: “For a nine-year-old to do that it’s pretty heroic. She was able to keep herself calm.

“The family member next to her is obviously deceased so that’s a lot to deal with, plus being dark at night.”

Authorities believe the car had been travelling at more than 100 mph when it ran off the road, down a steep bank and flipped when it hit a cluster of trees. It could not be seen from the road where it landed.

Over the weekend, temperatures dropped below 30 F at night.

Jordan Landon escaped the crash with non-life threatening injuries but was airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she is being kept for observation. The girl is expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities believe that speed was a factor in the crash after discovering a speedometer that had jammed at 110 mph. They do not believe alcohol was involved.

The former National Geographic magazine photographer, Chuck O’Rear, was driving to visit his girlfriend when he was struck by the beauty of the Californian rolling vineyards in Napa Valley.

Chuck O’Rear, now 69, was so entranced by the green of the grass and the white clouds in the perfectly blue California sky that he pulled over and got out his camera.

Chuck O'Rear

Chuck O'Rear

Never for a moment did Chuck O’Rear think the shot would become the most viewed image on the planet.

When it comes to famous photographs, a computer desktop image is unlikely to be the first thought on most people’s minds.

More than a billion people around the world have seen Chuck O’Rear’s photo of the countryside near his Napa Valley home, in Sonoma, North California.

Most of them don’t even realize they have been looking at it.

For it was chosen by Microsoft engineers as the desktop image for their Windows XP background.

Chuck O’Rear signed a confidentiality agreement so he can’t say how much he got paid – it is reportedly the second most expensive photo license ever purchased.

“I drove the same route between Napa and San Francisco a couple of times a week in 2002 or 2003 but this was January when the grass is the most brilliant green here so I jumped out and took a couple of shots and then carried on my way,” said Chuck O’Rear.

Chuck O’Rear didn’t give much more thought to the picture after picking up girlfriend Daphne Larkin, who he married shortly after.

It was only when Chuck O’Rear got a call from his agent with the Corbis photo archive telling him that Microsoft wanted the original of the picture that he discovered he’d hit the jackpot.

“I had no idea when I took the photograph that anything like that could happen. It is probably the most recognized photo on the planet. If you took it to some village in Bangladesh the might recognize it or you could stop somebody walking down the street in China and they may know what it is,” Chuck O’Rear added.

Chuck O’Rear, who began his career with the Kansas City Star and the Los Angeles Times, worked for 25 years for the National Geographic and now specializes in photographing winemaking in Napa and around the world.

Unlike many PC users, Chuck O’Rear doesn’t get to see his XP photo every day, because he uses a Mac.

The filmmaker Brett Ratner has resigned as producer of 2012 Academy Awards after he used a gay slur at a screening of his latest movie, Tower Heist.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences says Brett Ratner, 42, submitted his resignation yesterday, one day after he apologized for using a gay slur.

According to Academy President Tom Sherak, Brett Ratner “did the right thing for the academy and for himself”.

Tom Sherak said: “Brett is a good person, but his comments were unacceptable.”

Brett Ratner was named Oscar producer in August along with TV veteran Don Mischer.

The filmmaker issued an open letter explaining his resignation.

The letter read: “I called [the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president] Tom Sherak this morning and resigned as a producer of the 84th Academy Awards telecast.

“Being asked to help put on the Oscar show was the proudest moment of my career.

“But as painful as this may be for me, it would be worse if my association with the show were to be a distraction from the Academy and the high ideals it represents.”

Brett Ratner has resigned as producer of 2012 Academy Awards after he used a gay slur at a screening of his latest movie, Tower Heist

On Tuesday, Brett Ratner apologized for using a gay slur during a question-and-answer session at a screening for his new film Tower Heist.

Brett Ratner used a pejorative term to describe gay men in response to a question asked at a screening of his latest movie.

In his apology, Brett Ratner said sorry “for any offense my remarks caused”, adding that the slur was “a dumb and outdated way of expressing myself”.

Brett Ratner said that “as a storyteller I should have been much more thoughtful about the power of language and my choice of words”.

Initially Academy President Tom Sherak said Brett Ratner’s remarks were “inappropriate” – but said the academy had no plans to remove him from his Oscar-producing position.

Eddie Murphy, who worked with Brett Ratner on the new film, Tower Heist, was set to host the Oscars, but his role is now uncertain.

On Monday, Brett Ratner also recorded an expletive-laden interview with shock jock Howard Stern.

In the revealing interview, Brett Ratner discussed oral sex, masturbation and the size of his testicles.

The filmmaker admitted he was stunned he had never impregnated anyone because of his virility: “How lucky I am that I never got a girl pregnant. It’s crazy.”

Brett Ratner boasted a doctor had told him he had 10 times the sperm count of an average man his age.

He also claimed he asked Lindsay Lohan to get an STD test when they allegedly slept together when she was 19.

Brett Ratner praised her natural acting talent and claimed “everything f**ked up about her is because of her parents”.

Brett Ratner said: “I’m a hypochondriac. Before I go all the way, I send the girl to the doctor and check them for everything. My doctor has a test to tell if you’re going to catch something in the future even.”

It was not the first time Brett Ratner has shocked with his brash commentary.

He recently admitted to having had a fling with Olivia Munn – who had apparently referred to him in her book Suck It, Wonder Woman!: The Misadventures Of A Hollywood Geek.

In one visceral and nauseating paragraph, Olivia Munn, 31, recounts walking in on the movie big-wig – who she doesn’t name – while he was pleasuring himself.

She recalls: “A grown man in an oversized shirt holding his undersized manhood in hands glistening with shrimp fat.”

Speaking recently on G4’s Attack of the Show, Brett Ratner revealed the man in question was him, in an apparent shameless bid to drum up publicity for Tower Heist.

Brett Ratner said: “I used to date Olivia Munn, I’ll be honest with everyone here. But when she was <<Lisa>>.

“She wasn’t Asian back then, she was hanging out on my set of After the Sunset, I banged her a few times, but I forgot her.

“Because she changed her name I didn’t know it was the same person and so when she auditioned for me for a TV show.

“I forgot her, she got p***ed off, and so she made up all these stories about me eating shrimp and masturbating in my trailer.

“And she talked about my shortcomings.”

Brett Ratner’s bitter response is baffling, particularly his “before she was Asian” comment as Olivia Munn is Chinese on her mother’s side.

A two-year-old toddler, Nicholai Garrett was rescued by a group of brave men after the boy fell into Caloosahatchee River, Florida.

Nicholai Garrett dropped into the Caloosahatchee River after he tripped and fell while walking with his mother and grandmother on a pier.

Several witnesses in Centennial Park saw what happened, including Andy Fowler, 54, who jumped in to help the boy.

But as Andy Fowler tried to get the boy ashore, he became tired while fighting the river’s strong current.

That was the moment when Robert Moss jumped in.

Robert Moss, 43, told ABC affiliate WZVN: “I heard there was a baby in the water and instincts took in. I seen him go down once when I got out to him, he went down again.

“He kind of rolled his eyes and looked at me and said he didn’t think he was going to make it.”

Another man, Justin Bacon, also observed the struggle in the water and ran into the water to help.

Justin Bacon told WZVN: “When I saw the kid’s head go underwater, there was no thinking about it.”

Robert Moss was able to hang on to young Nicholai Garett and Andy Fowler, bringing them to shore where they were plucked out of the water by rescuers from the Fort Myers Fire Department.

The toddler was examined by paramedics at the scene and found to be in good condition, and returned to his mother.

Andy Fowler was hospitalized after swallowing water from the river, but is expected to fully recover.

Robert Moss, who sad the boy “wanted his mommy”, was grateful that the saga had a happy ending.

Robert Moss told WZVN: “I’m happy. My legs are sore and and I’m happy everybody’s OK.”

Julia Biryukova, mother of two-year-old Sky Metawala who vanished after being left in an unlocked car while she went to get gas, had previously been cited for leaving a child unattended in a vehicle, according to police.

Authorities of Bellevue, Washington, spent a second day today searching for Sky Metawala, as court documents emerged revealing his parents had previously been arrested for leaving their child.

The mother had also obtained a restraining order against his father last year.

Julia Biryukova told investigators she left her toddler alone on Sunday as she and her four-year-old daughter walked a mile to a gas station, Bellevue police said.

When she came back an hour later, the boy was gone, Julia Biryukova said.

Investigators searched a 20-block area and even went door to door but found no sign of him.

Julia Biryukova told investigators she left her toddler alone on Sunday as she and her four-year-old daughter walked a mile to a gas station

In December 2009, officers in nearby Redmond cited Julia Biryukova and her husband, Solomon Metalwala, for reckless endangerment for leaving a child unattended in a vehicle.

Details were not immediately available; police said they were working to redact an incident report for release under the state’s public records act.

The case was dismissed early this year after Sky Metawala’s parents agreed to a year of probation, 40 hours of community service and a ten-week parenting class, said Ian Goodhew, a spokesman for the King County Prosecutor’s Office.

Julia Biryukova and Solomon Metalwala had been together for 14 years, married since 2003 and separated in March 2010, court records show.

In June 2010, Julia Biryukova, 30, filed for a protection order on behalf of herself and their two children, saying Solomon Metalwala had a severe anger problem, was verbally abusive and that he had beat her for the first time the previous Christmas.

The reason was that she had allowed Sky – just four months old at the time – to sleep later than expected, Julia Biryukova said.

“He became furious like I have never seen him before, he grabbed me by my hair in front of our daughter, dragged me into our hallway, threw me down on the floor and then threw me against a decorative column we have in the entrance of our home,” Julia Biryukova wrote.

“He continued to assault me with his feet – by kicking me and then he took out his car keys and contrived to scratch me in any area he could.”

The abuse escalated after that, with Solomon Metalwala telling her to go live on the street and work as a prostitute, Julia Biryukova said.

“The most, most recent have been his threats to kill me if I say anything against him or if in any way I proceed with action of seeking custody of our two small children,” Julia Biryukova added.

“I live in constant fear for my life and my children’s life. Please investigate and help me!”

A man who answered the phone at King Street Kafe and Market, a shop Solomon Metalwala owns in Seattle’s Pioneer Square neighborhood, referred calls to a Leslie Clay Terry III, a lawyer who represented the couple in the reckless endangerment case. Clay Terry did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Spokesperson for the Bellevue Police Department, Officer Carla Lafrate, told The Seattle Times: “King County felt like they had done a very thorough search of a pretty wide area for the boy and were confident that he wasn’t there.”

Julia Biryukova told police that as she was walking back to her silver Acura from Chevron gas station a friend picked her up and drove them back to the car.

But when they returned, the toddler was missing. The door had been left unlocked and there was no sign of forced entry, police said.

Officer Carla Lafrate added: “We don’t know much, other than the child is still missing. I don’t know if the child got out on his own.”

Sky Metalwala has been described as having brown eyes and dark buzz-cut hair.

The toddler was dressed in a dark-green hooded sweatshirt and blue and grey striped trousers.

The case is being treated as a missing child, as they do not know if he was taken or left on his own accord.

Sky Metalwala, a two-year-old toddler went missing while his mother went looking for gas in Bellevue, Washington.

Police and search dogs were scanning yesterday a wooded area in Bellevue, searching for the toddler .

The mother took her other child, four, with her to walk a mile to the nearest petrol station after their car came to a halt, but left the two-year-old Sky Metalwala buckled into his car seat in the unlocked vehicle.

When the mother, who has not been identified but is from Redmond, returned around an hour later to the parked car at 9:50 a.m., the toddler was gone.

Police responded to the mother call and started the search but said they did not find a gas can at the car when they arrived.

Officers attempted an all-day search for Sky Metalwala in the northwestern area of the city, but suspended their efforts at 6:00 p.m. local time.

Around 50 people and King County Search and Rescue teams were looking for Sky Metalwala before it became too dark to continue.

According to a new book, wrote by Chuck Pfarrer, a former SEAL team commander – SEAL Target Geronimo. The Inside Story of the Mission to Kill Osama Bin Laden – President Barack Obama was actually playing golf until 20 minutes before the operation began in earnest.

Chuck Pfarrer’s book claims that Barack Obama Only played golf and only after he finished the course he return to the White House to watch what he later trumpeted as a great success of his presidency.

Strain etched on his face, Barack Obama watched as the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden played out on a television in front of him.

The book also claims the official account was riddled with errors and that Osama Bin Laden was referred to as “Bert” and not just “Geronimo”.

Also, none of the Navy SEALs said the now famous words: “For God and country”, and when they burst into Bin Laden’s room, his wife screamed: “No, no, don’t do this… it’s not him!”

Chuck Pfarrer has spoken to several of the men who carried out the operation at Osama Bin Laden’s mansion hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 2.

The author paints a very different picture to the official photo released at the time which shows Barack Obama and advisers huddled round a table in the White House situation room as footage was beamed from a drone 15,000 feet above the al-Qaeda leader’s mansion.

Strain etched on his face, Barack Obama watched as the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden played out on a television in front of him

Strain etched on his face, Barack Obama watched as the raid to kill Osama Bin Laden played out on a television in front of him

Chuck Pfarrer says the President’s role was largely inflated and suggests he stayed out on the golf course for so long so he could distance himself in case it went wrong.

The author writes: “If this had completely gone south, he was in a position to disavow.”

Chuck Pfarrer says the White House photographs did not show the moment that Osama Bin Laden was killed, but the moment a helicopter went down, which happened after the shooting.

SEAL Target Geronimo claims that President Barack Obama was actually playing golf until 20 minutes before the killing Osama Bin Laden operation began

SEAL Target Geronimo claims that President Barack Obama was actually playing golf until 20 minutes before the killing Osama Bin Laden operation began

Barack Obama is known to be a keen golfer. Just today, as the White House was being encircled by 8,000 environmental protesters, he was on a course in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The President also played golf four times during his week-long family holiday on Martha’s Vineyard.

Chuck Pfarrer’s book also claims that Osama Bin Laden would have been captured if he gave himself up. The author said a SEAL team would not have been sent in for a kill mission, adding: “If it was a kill mission you don’t need SEAL Team 6; you need a box of hand grenades.”

He also gives a dramatic new insight into what happened during the 1:00 a.m. raid, during which only 12 bullets were fired.

Within 90 seconds of their helicopter landing, the SEALs saw Osama Bin Laden slam his bedroom door shut. Two SEALs burst in and saw Osama Bin Laden and one of his four wives, Amal, who shouted: “It’s not him!”

Contrary to White House statements that he was unarmed, Osama Bin Laden had a gun next to him. As he shoved his wife at the SEALs, four shots were fired.

The first round whistled past Osama Bin Laden’s face. The second grazed his wife’s calf.

Contrary to White House statements that he was unarmed, Osama Bin Laden had a gun next to him

Contrary to White House statements that he was unarmed, Osama Bin Laden had a gun next to him

Chuck Pfarrer claims: ” Two 5.56mm Predator bullets slammed into him. One struck him next to his breastbone, blowing apart his aorta. The last went through his skull.”

The author also reveals that Osama Bin Laden was known as “Bert” to the Seals, and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri was Ernie – a reference to the Sesame Street puppets.

The SEALS have decided to speak out after being enraged by the image that was being painted of them as cold-blooded murderers on a “kill mission”.

Chuck Pfarrer said: “I’ve been a SEAL for 30 years and I never heard the words <<kill mission>>.”

The soldiers were also said to be disappointed that Barack Obama announced Osama Bin Laden’s death on TV a few hours later, making their intelligence-gathering futile.

Chuck Pfarrer also said the President’s announcement of the “intentional” killing was understandable but nonetheless disappointing.

The author told the Sunday Times: “There isn’t a politician in the world who could resist trying to take credit for getting Bin Laden but it devalued the <<intel>> and gave time for every other Al-Qaeda leader to scurry to another bolthole.

“The men who did this and their valorous act deserve better. It’s a pretty shabby way to treat these guys.”

The operation began to come together in January 2010 after it was discovered that a “high-value individual” was hiding out at a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The commanding officer of the SEALS was brought to a top secret meeting with the CIA and his boss Admiral William McRaven to prepare a plan to present to the President.

Chuck Pfarrer asked: “So is this Bert or Ernie?”, according to the SEALs’ Sesame Street nicknames for Osama Bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri.

CIA intelligence confirmed they were “60 per cent or 70 per cent certain it’s our guy”.

Satellite images had measured the target’s shadow, making him “over 6 feet tall”. He was dubbed “the pacer” as he was constantly seen walking back and forth.

In the following months, the team of SEALS began to make detailed preparations including practising manoeuvres at a mock-up of the compound at a remote army camp.

It was planned that the team would use Ghost Hawk helicopters because they were so quiet on approach, the Seals described them as flying in “whisper mode”, according to Chuck Pfarrer.

Barack Obama gave the mission the green light and SEAL Team 6, known as the Jedi, kicked into action.

After being deployed to Afghanistan, the team were told to use older helicopters, Stealth Hawks, as sending in Ghost Hawks without the back up of jet fighters was considered too risky. Decoy targets were set up and the U.S. Navy scrambled Pakistan’s radar to protect the mission.

The operation, called Neptune’s Spear, was meant to take place on April 30 but was rescheduled for May 1 because of bad weather. In the dead of night, the SEALS flew on two Stealth Hawks, codenamed Razor 1 and 2, followed by two Chinooks five minutes behind.

Each SEAL was wearing body armour and night-vision goggles and equipped with laser targets, radios and sawn-off M4 rifles.

Also on board were a CIA agent, a Pakistani- American interpreter and a sniffer dog called Karo, wearing dog body armour and goggles.

It was estimated that around 30 people were in the high-walled compound in Abbottabad – Oasama Bin Laden and three of his wives, two sons, Khalid and Hamza, his courier, Abu Ahmed al- Kuwaiti, four bodyguards and a number of children.

At 56 minutes past midnight the compound came into sight and the code “Palm Beach” gave the signal they were three minutes to landing.

The first helicopter hovered over the main house, where Osama Bin Laden was known to live on the top floor. A team of 12 SEALS abseiled the 5 ft-6 ft down onto the roof, leapt onto a terrace and kicked in the windows.

The first person they saw was Osama Bin Laden’s third wife Khaira. She fell after being blinded by a strobe light and was caught by a SEAL who pinned her to the floor.

Osama Bin Laden suddenly appeared in the doorway of a bedroom along the hall and then slammed the door.

One SEAL radioed: “Geronimo, Geronimo, Geronimo“, signalling that they had spotted the target.

As people started moving in other parts of the house and lights were thrown on, Osama Bin Laden’s son Khalid came running up the stairs towards the SEALS and was shot dead.

Two commandos kicked in Bin Laden’s door to find the al-Qaeda leader cowering behind his youngest wife Amal.

As Osama Bin Laden tried to reach for his AK-47 rifle, the SEALS opened fire.

One round hit the mattress, another grazed Amal in the calf.

They each fired again: one shot hit Osama Bin Laden’s breastbone, the other his skull, blowing out the back of his head. His dead body slumped to the floor and he lay face up – just 90 seconds after the mission began.

Earlier reports had suggested that Osama Bin Laden was not killed until after a protracted gun fight.

The second helicopter had headed to a smaller guesthouse in the compound where Osama Bin Laden’s courier, Kuwaiti, and his brother lived.

As the helicopter closed in, a man appeared in the door with an assault rife and began to fire. Someone on board shouted: “Bust him!”. A sniper on board the chopper fired two shots and Kuwaiti was killed along with his wife standing behind him.

Within two minutes the SEALS had cleared the guesthouse and removed the women and children. They then ran to meet their colleagues at the main building, firing two bullets into one of Osama Bin Laden’s bodyguards who was brandishing a gun.

Five minutes later, a Chinook landed by the compound and more commandos flooded into the compound.

The commanding officer went to view Osama Bin Laden’s corpse before confirming via satellite phone to the White House “Geronimo Echo KIA” – that their number one enemy was dead.

Chuck Pfarrer added: “This was the first time the White House knew he was dead and it was probably 20 minutes into the raid.”

A sample of Osama Bin Laden’s DNA was taken, the body was bagged and put on the helicopter. His rifle is now mounted on the wall of their team room at their headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

On leaving the compound the first helicopter had an electrical failure and crashed tail-first into the compound.

SEALS initially thought it had been shot down as they rushed to help the crew who escaped unharmed.

The baby’s mother, 33, ran after the thugs but collapsed almost immediately through exhaustion.

The grandmother suffered minor injuries after being hit on the head. The baby escaped unscathed.

Greater Manchester Police issued pictures of the robbery today and it emerged the muggers might have deliberately targeted the women because they had the baby with them.

The incident happened at just after 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, when the two women were walking back after shopping in Bolton town centre.

The mother was carrying a number of shopping bags, while the grandmother was pushing the pram and had both women’s handbags hung over her shoulders.

The women were walking down a footpath leading to the Sandyhills area, when two men crept up behind them.

The grandmother felt a blow to her head and screamed as she fell to the floor, causing the pram to topple over onto its side.

The muggers pulled at the handbags and managed to get them over the woman’s shoulders. The young woman grabbed hold of one of the bags and managed to wrestle it back from one of the yobs. But they ran off with the other handbag.

Detective Inspector Stuart Wilkinson from Greater Manchester Police said: “These were the actions of two desperate individuals who had no regard whatsoever for the wellbeing of these two women or the young baby they were with.

“As you can see from the CCTV, it is lucky that the baby was strapped into the pram and wasn’t injured during this robbery.”

Buying a baby pushchair seems simple enough until you find out there are hundreds of models on the market.

In fact, there are so many options available that you will feel that you need to be an expert in order to make an informed decision. With these ideas to consider before making your pushchair or stroller purchase; you will be confident in your decision. Okay, our “secret” technique is going to be to shop for the most value we can get inside of a preset budget. Here are some things to think about as you are making these decisions.

You can add as many options as you wish but, will you use them?

Do you truly need a stroller with a cup holder? Some strollers and pushchairs are made with built-in toys – some babies play with them some don’t. What about the ability to play music? These are all extra things to consider when making your decision. Sometimes a few of these options are logical and can be very helpful; for example, if you take your baby out and walk for long distances then you will need some form of entertainment and a stroller that has a sturdier frame. You won’t need all of the “bells and whistles” if you aren’t going to use your stroller very often and only do a minimal amount of walking. Why would I choose option A over option B? These questions will help you make a better buying decision.

Durability and flexibility are big concerns if you want a pushchair that your child can use for years. If you want to buy different sized strollers for your growing child you can, but it isn’t necessary. You probably do not have enough money to buy an infant pushchair, a young baby pushchair and a toddler pushchair. A convertible pushchair will save you money and is just as good as the age specific models.

This will save you a lot of money in the long run-especially if the stroller you choose is sturdily built. For those of us who really like to get our money’s worth, you there exists pushchairs that can also be transformed into a child safety seat.
If you have a newborn, you might consider buying a pushchair that will accommodate your baby’s sleeping habits. There are many pushchairs that are little more than mobile bassinets. This might seem cumbersome, but if your infant is not yet ready for sitting up, and you find yourself needing to travel during naptimes, this type of stroller and pushchair can be a life saver. There is also no harm in letting your baby spend all their naptimes in this pushchair so that you can move them around as needed without risking waking them.

Yes, something as simple as trying to find the best baby pushchair can get complicated.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed and intimidated by all of the choices that are available. Asking yourself the questions that we presented to you in this article will stop you from making mistakes that others regret after they put their pushchair to use. You now have the tools to go out and find the best pushchair to fit your lifestyle.

Police has arrested two 12-year-old boys in East Harlem, New York, for hurling a shopping cart from a fourth floor walkway that hit and critically injured Marion Hedges.

Marion Hedges, 47, has been left fighting for her life after she was struck by the falling cart when the dangerous prank went wrong on Sunday evening.

The mother-of-two, who works as a real estate agent, had been walking with her 14-year-old son on the ground floor when she was hit, according to the New York Post.

Marion Hedges‘ son was not injured in the incident.

Marion Hedges, 47, has been left fighting for her life after she was struck by the falling cart when the dangerous prank went wrong on Sunday evening

According to police report, the cart was thrown from a walkway that connects a parking garage to a Target store where Marion Hedges had just finished shopping.

Marion Hedges, who also has a daughter, was rushed to Harlem Hospital where she is reported to be in a stable condition but remains unconscious.

Police has arrested the two boys, who have been charged as juveniles with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

The boys were arrested after one of their friends reported the prank to the police.

A law-enforcement source told the New York Post:

“They deliberately pushed it over the edge.

“They’re a bunch of stupid kids, they made a bad decision. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

A family friend said that Marion Hedges was shopping for candy at Costco for the Stanley M Isaacs Neighborhood Center, a community centre for the elderly.

Marion Hedges has worked with charities for over 25 years and is currently involved in at least six different projects.

“She is such a super, super nice person,” the friend said.

Marion Hedges’ husband, Michael is flying home from Spain, where he works as the head of emerging markets trading and structuring at Auriga Sociedad de Valoresworks.

Speaking of her condition, Marion Hedges’ father, told the New York Post:

“It’s in God’s hands now. It’s so hard to tell.

“They have her sedated right now, she’s unconscious. It’s not quite clear what happened but I hear she has some broken bones and some cranial injuries – there’s some blood up there.

“They’re letting us up two at a time and we can only stay for five minutes. You can’t really see anything up there – it’s just her lying in a bed unconscious with 50 thousand tubes in her. She’s stable, they’re keeping her stable and her respiratory system is functioning.”

When asked about what should happen to those responsible for throwing the shopping cart, Marion Hedges’ father said: “They should have the book thrown at them.”

A friend of the family added: “That is one tough kid. That little kid marched down to the police department this morning to give a statement. He’s such a tough little kid. They’re the nicest, kindest family.”

At a hearing on Monday, the two boys were remanded in the custody of New York’s Administration for Children’s Services, the city’s child welfare agency and they will attend an arraignment hearing on November 4.

According to San Marcos police, Diann Ford was returning from her job at Long John Silver’s late on Tuesday when she was hit by the car.

Diann Ford, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was taken to an Austin hospital that night, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

The woman gave birth by cesarean section on Wednesday, October 26, and the girl was taken to the hospital’s pediatric intensive care unit. Diann Ford died the next day.

Diann Ford’s boss, Kris Jaccard said she was excited about her future as a mother. The 22-year-old woman knew she was having a girl and had picked out a name.

Kris Jaccard described Diann Ford as a model employee who always showed up for work on time.

Diann Ford had started at the restaurant about six months ago as a cashier.

“She was a very friendly, very nice, very caring person,” Kris Jaccard told the San Antonio Express-News.

San Marcos police are still trying to find the driver of the car.

The police report said that Diann Ford was crossing the road at night where there wasn’t a cross walk and she was wearing dark-coloured clothing.

After a car struck her and the driver fled, Diann Ford was found by a passing motorist and she was conscious when emergency responders arrived at the scene.

St Louis Cardinals beat Texas Rangers 6-2 in the decisive seventh game and won baseball’s World Series 2011.

Both teams drove in two runs in the first innings, but St Louis Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter then began to dominate as the runs dried up for Texas Rangers.

Allen Craig’s solo home run in the third put St Louis Cardinals ahead before Texas Rangers bullpen contrived to walk in two more runs in the fifth.

St Louis Cardinals added another run in the seventh as they cruised to victory. It was heartbreaking for Texas Rangers, who was beaten by San Francisco Giants in last year’s World Series – and had been one strike away from winning 2011’s Fall Classic on two occasions in Thursday’s epic Game Six.

Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington admitted:

“Someone has to win, someone has to lose and the Cardinals did it.

“They were the better team.”

The game started badly for Texas Rangers when leadoff hitter Ian Kinsler was caught stealing, but Josh Hamilton and Michael Young drove in a pair of runs as Texas got after Chris Carpenter early on.

St Louis Cardinals beat Texas Rangers 6-2 in the decisive seventh game and won baseball's World Series 2011

St Louis Cardinals drew level in the bottom of the first innings after Rangers starter Matt Harrison walked Albert Pujols and Lance Berkman.

The stage was set for Game Six hero David Freese, who steered a double into left field to score both runners and level the score at 2-2.

While Carpenter, pitching on only three days’ rest, threw five scoreless innings, St Louis Cardinals took the lead for the first time when Allen Craig smashed his homer over the right field fence.

Allen Craig was only starting the game as regular left fielder Matt Holliday was ruled out with a sprained right wrist he sustained in Game Six.

St Louis Cardinals threatened another rally in the bottom of the fifth when reliever Scott Feldman walked Allen Craig and hit Albert Pujols with a pitch.

Lance Berkman grounded out, but Texas Rangers gambled by intentionally walking Freese to load the bases for Yadier Molina – and it backfired as Feldman walked in a run.

That prompted Washington to lift Scott Feldman in favour of CJ Wilson – who had started Games One and Five but began his career as a closer – and the left-hander’s first pitch hit Rafael Furcal to walk in another run and leave the Rangers trailing 5-2.

Allen Craig made a great leaping catch in front of the left-field fence to deny Nelson Cruz a home run, while Chris Carpenter was eventually pulled early in the seventh innings as manager Tony La Russa – the master of matching pitchers with specific batters – turned to his bullpen.

“I was hoping to have an opportunity to go ahead and pitch in this game and fortunately it worked out,” said Chris Carpenter.

“It started off a little rough in the first. But I was able to collect myself, make some pitches and our guys did an awesome job to battle back.”

Lance Berkman, a Texan who was a World Series runner-up with Houston Astros in 2005, hustled well to start another St Louis Cardinals rally in the seventh innings, and this time Mike Adams was the Rangers reliever to suffer as Yadier Molina drove in Berkman to make it 6-2.

With the record 47,399 crowd joined by thousands more surrounding Busch Stadium to share St Louis Cardinals’ moment of glory, Jason Motte was handed the chance to come in as closer and retired the side in style.

Fittingly, it was Allen Craig in left field who caught a David Murphy fly ball for the final out as St Louis Cardinals wrapped up their 11th Fall Classic triumph.

Jessica Simpson showed off what appeared to be a baby bump under a tight black Lycra T-shirt she was wearing while she jetted out of Los Angeles airport yesterday.

For many weeks Jessica Simpson, 31, didn’t say anything about the persistent pregnancy rumours which have hounded her.

The 31-year-old singer’s mid-section was larger than normal in the translucent clingy top, which she paired with black leggings and a green army style jacket.

Jessica Simpson was carrying again her favourite over-sized leopard print bag, which she has on many occasions cleverly used to shield her middle.

This time, the singer held the purse to the side exposing her stomach.

Jessica Simpson, who has kept everyone asking “is she or isn’t she” for the last few weeks, has been seen with what appears to be a baby bump as early as July.

But yesterday it seemed like more than ever she may soon make an important announcement.

Jessica Simpson’s appearance is not the only thing which has been sparking the pregnancy rumours, it has been her actions too.

About ten days ago Jessica Simpson was physically helped to the car by her mother Tina. She was assisted by her mother as they left Los Angeles International Airport following a flight from New Orleans.

Her mother held on to her daughter’s arm and placed a protective hand on her back as she escorted her out of the building and into a waiting car.

Her mother action was certainly not the behaviour you would expect from the mother of a perfectly healthy 31-year-old woman who is fully capable of walking on her own.

Jessica Simpson was set to wed former NFL player Eric Johnson this November, but the couple have postponed the wedding with sources claiming the delay is due to Jessica being pregnant.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson, who have been together for two years, got engaged in November 2010.

Steven Hayes from Connecticut, who is convicted of killing Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her two daughters in a deadly home invasion, spoke about how he killed 17 others and raped dozens of women in leaked letters revealed yesterday.

Steven Hayes, 48, described in detail how in two of the attacks he had tied up, tortured and killed women – and even made a 16-hour video of him murdering one of his victims.

The serial killer, who is on death row for his role in the 2007 home invasion, boasted to a female companion about how he had collected the sneakers of all of his victims as trophies, but said “the 17 kill trophies” meant the most to him.

Steven Hayes, a Connecticut home invasion triple murderer speaks about killing other 17 women and raping dozens in sickening prison letters

In 2010, Steven Hayes was convicted of raping and strangling Jennifer Hawke-Petit, 48, before tying her daughters, Hayley, 17 and Michaela, 11, to their beds and setting the house on fire.

Steven Hayes is currently appealing the conviction.

Steven Hayes’ accomplice was Joshua Komisarjevsky, who was also convicted for his role in the killings earlier this month and is due to be sentenced on Tuesday.

In the four letters revealed yesterday, which were written in August and September, Steven Hayes wrote that he would have killed Joshua Komisarjevsky if he had not been jailed because while he had the same “capacity for evil”, the accomplice was not committed enough.

Steven Hayes told a female in North Carolina, only identified as “Lynn”, that he wanted to share his “dark secret” as “someone else really should know the truth about” him.

In the letters which were obtained by the New Haven Register, Steven Hayes wrote:

“Yes, I’ve killed before.”

“I have 17 kills throughout the Northeast United States. Perfect victims and well executed, controlled endeavors.”

There are 17 pages of handwritten letters, which were confiscated by prison authorities.

Steven Hayes also recounted the rape and murder of his first victim in 1982 and the eighth. The killer wrote that all of his victims were aged between 14 and 25.

According to the New Haven Register, which has not detailed how it acquired the letters, they read “like a twisted pornographic fantasy”.

Steven Hayes wrote that he spotted his first victim, a girl who was hitchhiking, as he was driving home from a bar, describing her as “short, hot and the perfect victim”.

“Like any great hunter, timing is critical,” Steven Hayes wrote about how he chose his victims.

The serial killer told how he picked up the girl and drove her to a secluded location where he tied her up and threw her in the trunk before taking her to a cheap motel, which he said became his “location of choice” for his attacks.

He described in detail how he sexually assaulted the woman and then pinched her nose and suffocated her.

“A monster was born,” Steven Hayes wrote.

“This carried on with my top 17 sexual conquests and kills.”

“The trophies, the signature kill, the thrill of the hunt and the disposal of my adventure buddies.”

He said that he picked up his eighth victim, who he found drunk walking along a road, and told her he would take her back to his house to smoke crack cocaine and drink beer.

Steven Hayes claimed that he tied her to his bed for an entire weekend and tortured her before killing her.

“The more pain and emotional abuse she went through, the better I liked it.”

“And believe me, I was in heaven.”

The serial killer also claimed that he recorded the assault and killing on a 16-hour video, which he described as “by far the best snuff film ever created”.

Steven Hayes said that he kept hold of the tape for six months before it “found a home” in Portland, Oregon.

He described Joshua Komisarjevsky, who could also face the death penalty for his part in the attacks, as being a disappointment to him in the letters.

“I’ve searched my whole life for someone who could embrace and had the capacity for evil as I possess,” Steven Hayes wrote, according to the newspaper. “I thought I finally found it in Josh.”

“But events show Josh, while [he] had the proper evil intent, lacked in the most serious aspects, commitment and control.”

Steven Hayes asked the recipient to hold on to the details of the letters until after his execution because the information “could be worth millions to the right people”.

Michael Dearington, State Attorney and FBI spokesman have declined to say whether Steven Hayes’ purported crimes are being investigated or whether authorities are aware of 17 unsolved homicides matching details in his letters.

Occupy Chicago protesters stood their ground in city’s Grant Park in noisy but peaceful defiance of police orders to clear out, prompting at least 100 arrests early Sunday.

According to Joshua Kaunert, Occupy Chicago movement spokesman, after the arrests the protests would continue in the Midwest City.

“We’re not going anywhere. There are still plenty of us,” Joshua Kaunert told The Associated Press after the arrests, which took police more than an hour to complete.

Elsewhere in US, police reported 11 arrests overnight in the Occupy Cincinnati protests.

According to police, those arrested had stayed in that city’s Fountain Square after Sunday’s 3:00 a.m. closing time and each was charged with criminal trespass.

Police said they made approximately 100 arrests among Occupy Chicago protesters early Sunday

Police said they made approximately 100 arrests among Occupy Chicago protesters early Sunday

Police began taking Occupy Chicago protesters into custody just before 1:00 a.m. Sunday.

Arrested protesters were led in groups to vans and two large white buses as others clamored to be arrested.

“Take me next! Take me next!” some of the protesters shouted as police began the arrests.

Others chanted as they were led away: “We’ll be back!”

Police had begun placing metal barricades around the area of Chicago’s Grant Park known as Congress Plaza about 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, minutes after the park had closed.

Afterward, police then went through the crowd and warned people to leave or risk arrest for remaining in the closed park in violation of a city ordinance.

After police warning, some of the protesters who stayed inside the barricades in the park sat on the ground.

Other people joined in from just outside the park. Police said they made approximately 100 arrests early Sunday but did not have an exact count.

Joshua Kaunert, Occupy Chicago spokesman, noted it was the second straight weekend that arrests had been made in the park after 175 arrests the previous Sunday when protesters set up tents past public hours.

Occupy Chicago protesters were taken away one by one and handcuffed with white plastic ties.

About 1,500 people gathered for the protest that began Saturday.

Occupy Chicago demonstrators descended on the city’s Grant Park with hopes of making it the movement’s permanent home.

Protesters had started in Chicago’s financial district before marching to the park.

Along the way, demonstrators chanted “Banks got bailed out, we got sold out!” and held signs that read “Greed Sucks” and “No War But The Class War” while police on horses blocked them from walking on the street on Michigan Avenue, leaving them with just the sidewalks to occupy.

Gordon and Norma Yeager from Iowa, who had been married for 72 years, had only one hour separation between them in their passing.

Gordon, 94, and Norma Yeager, 90, had never been separated, even after their tragic car accident which sent them both to the hospital.

Gordon and Norma were both born in Iowa before he moved to a farm a Minnesota with his family. He later came back in the town, when he was 16, to work at the Chevrolet Garage in State Center, Iowa, a business which he would eventually go on to own.

Once back in the town, Gordon Yeager fell in love with Norma who was still studying at high school.

After his proposal, Gordon and Norma were married on the very day that she graduated, May 26, 1939.

They had a small wedding in the same evening held in the home of Gordon’s sister, the expense of which was covered by his first pay cheque.

Gordon and Norma Yeager spent their first few years of marriage in California where he worked as a welder in the shipyards during the Second World War while volunteering at night for the war effort.

The newlyweds later returned to the town of State Center and had four children – Donna, born in 1940, Roger in 1943, Gordon in 1946 and the youngest Dennis in 1949.

Tragically both middle sons Roger and Gordon later died in car crashes.

Gordon and Norma Yeager first ran a hardware store before taking over the Chevrolet Garage with Gordon’s brother Roger until both men retired at 65.

Their youngest son, Dennis, 62, described his parents as incredibly active individuals.

“We took family camping trips in Iowa and Canada but spent most of the time at Clear Lake, Minnesota. We rented a cabin and went boating.

“I remember my Dad, even at almost 60 years old, water-skiing at Clear Lake. One time, when I was driving the boat he disappeared under for such a long time, that my Mom was worried sick.

“When he eventually surfaced, she screamed at him, <<what were you doing down there?>> to which he yelled back, <<well I wasn’t coming back up without my trunks!>>”

When they retired, Gordon and Norma Yeager spent half the year in Tucson, Arizona, enjoying the outdoors and fishing in the Hoover Dam.

Despite their closeness, Dennis admits at times his parents were “total opposites”.

“They just loved being together but of course they would get mad at each other.

“My Dad was very sociable, he loved doing anything that involved being with people. My Mom was quieter but she would support my Dad in whatever he was doing. She would be there making sure everyone had something to eat, had a drink in their hand.

“She was such a perfectionist. When they had the garage, she won every award going from Chevrolet for her book-keeping. I remember they would be up together poring over those books until 2:00 a.m. if there was even a penny out of place.”

Gordon and Norma Yeager had been married for 72 years and had only one hour separation between them in their passing

After Gordon and Norma Yeager celebrated the rare achievement of a 70th wedding anniversary, they loved to spend time watching sports, socializing and walking their little Yorkie dog Radar.

Last week, while making a trip into town, the car Gordon Yeager was driving mistakenly pulled out in front of another.

According to the police report, the oncoming driver tried to avoid the collision, but it wasn’t able to stop in time.

Dennis Yeager said he found his parents at hospital sharing a unit in the intensive care unit, never separated and holding hands they lay, though “not really responsive”.

In the same day, on October 12, at 3:38pm, Gordon Yeager passed away, with Norma and family beside him. The anomaly began though for the family, when Gordon’s heart monitor kept beeping.

Dennis Yeager recalled: “It was really strange. They were holding hands, and dad stopped breathing but I couldn’t figure out what was going on because the heart monitor was still going.”

“But we were like, he isn’t breathing. How does he still have a heart beat?’

Their son asked a nurse who checked, pointing out the couple’s hands which were still locked together.

“Her heart was beating through him and picking it up,” the nurse explained.

One hour later, at 4:48pm, Norma Yeager died too.

Gordon and Norma Yeager held hands at their funeral on October 18, sharing the same casket. Their family said after Gordon and Norma Yeager are cremated and their ashes will be mixed together.

Gordon and Norma Yeager are survived by Norma’s sister, Virginia Kell, and Gordon’s brother, Roger, along with their children Donna and Dennis as well as 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A message has appeared on David Hasselhoff’s Twitter page saying that Hayley Roberts has dumped him.

Surprisingly, the news comes one day after David Hasselhoff, 59, and Hayley Roberts, 31, were seen out in London at the Clinton’s Celebrity Fastcard event on October 18.

A David Hasselhoff’s representative of was unavailable for comment.

Their relationship appeared to be going swimmingly, but there are signs that Hayley Roberts wasn’t ready to commit to David Hasselhoff.

David Hasselhoff, 59, and Hayley Roberts, 31, were seen out in London at the Clinton's Celebrity Fastcard event

The Star on Sunday recently claimed that David Hasselhoff isn’t the first famous face that Hayley Roberts has bagged and she enjoyed a fling with footballer Dwight Yorke and singer Enrique Iglesias too.

Hayley Roberts apparently enjoyed a four-month fling with Dwight Yorke that ended weeks before she met David Hasselhoff.

David Hasselhoff is said to have proposed to Hayley Roberts, who is a former Debenhams worker, three times so far, but last night her ring finger appeared bare.

Last month David Hasselhoff, who has two daughters from a previous marriage, hinted that he was ready to get married for a third time.

“I believe in marriage. Right now with Hayley things are getting better in every way.”

It seems that David Hasselhoff was planning a Christmas with Hayley Roberts and her family and is appearing in a panto in Bristol, close to Hayley’s hometown of Glynneath, near Merthyr Tydfil.

David Hasselhoff has also recently splashed out on a new home in Lisvane, an upmarket area in the Welsh capital of Cardiff.

David Hasselhoff has been dating Hayley Roberts for the past six months after she asked him for an autograph and he asked her for a date.

It seemed that despite the 28-year age gap, their relationship was blossoming with Hayley Roberts even leaving her job in Debenhams to accompany David Hasselhoff around the world.

David Hasselhoff told the story of their first meeting to The Sunday Mirror:

“I was walking into the St David’s Hotel in Cardiff when we were in Wales for BGT and she came up and asked for a photograph.

“I just saw this girl walk out the bar and I just pointed and went, <<her, wow>>.”

“Hayley’s opening line was, <<can I have a photo?>>. And mine was, <<only if I can have your number>>. I then said, <<you probably have a boyfriend>>. And when she said no, that was a done deal.”

David Hasselhoff, who divorced wife Pamela Bach in 2006, said: “I’ve been able to take my beautiful girlfriend out of a retail store where she’s making £5.90 an hour.

“Now she doesn’t have to worry. I say look, <<you’re a beautiful girl, follow what God gave you>> and I’m giving her the confidence and have somebody to share my life with.”

A series of videos has emerged on internet showing images of bank customers staging protests and mass account closures in different cities across the U.S., New York; Santa Cruz, California and St Louis, Missouri.

Other footage shows dozens of Citibank and Bank of America customers denied requests to close their accounts, some even being arrested after alleged clashes with branch managers.

In a video footage obtained by Gawker.com earlier this month, dozens of people corralled inside of a Citibank branch in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, some signaling inside they are facing arrest.

Video footage shows dozens of people corralled inside of a Citibank branch in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, some signaling inside they are facing arrest

The Gawker.com website reports that 24 people were arrested on charges of criminal trespassing in Citibank branch in Manhattan.

According to a Citibank official statement the group was “very disruptive and refused to leave after being repeatedly asked”.

A Citibank spokesman said one person asked to close an account and was accommodated and acknowledged that the branch was closed “until the protesters could be removed”.

The footage presented by Gawker.com follows another video uploaded to YouTube on October 8, which shows three Occupy Santa Cruz protesters attempting to close their accounts at a local Bank of America branch.

The YouTube video shows two women walking into the Bank of America branch and sitting down, one of them with a large placard.

A branch manager asks the women to leave and threatens to call police, claiming “you cannot be a protester and a customer at the same time”.

The two women leave the bank and say to return without a sign the following day to close their accounts.

The video footages emerge weeks after both Citibank and Bank of America unveiled plans to hike fees for its services.

At the beginning of October, Citibank announced changes to its mid-tier checking accounts, which offer the potential for earning interest and a few other perks.

Starting in December, Citibank will charge $20 a month on these accounts, unless the customer has combined balances of $15,000 or more in checking, savings and investment accounts or loan balances.

The Citibank fee was previously waived for combined balances of $6,000 for that level of account, which offers perks such as interest-bearing checking.

Citibank customers also pay $2 fees for using non-Citi ATMs if they don’t meet the balance requirement. In September, Citibank said it will no longer give rewards points for debit card transactions.

The new situation stemmed, in part, from changes in federal regulations that cut roughly in half the amount banks could charge retailers for processing purchases made on debit cards, a rule that’s cutting sharply into bank revenue.

Citi’s changes came just a few days after Bank of America Corp said it would be charging $5 per month for using debit cards starting 2012. Other U.S. banks have also been testing such fees.

Meanwhile, an offshoot Occupy Wall Street movement called Bank Transfer Day appears to be gaining momentum.

A statement on the Occupy movement’s Facebook page encourages supporters to take a stand against big banks by removing their funds on November 5th.

“Together we can ensure that these banking institutions will always remember the 5th of November!!

“If the 99% removes our funds from the major banking institutions on or by this date, we will send a clear message and give the 1% a taste of the fear that we experience every day when we aren’t able to pay for our rent, food, medication, utilities, student loans, etc.”

Amber Miller, a 39 weeks pregnant woman from Illinois who was expecting her second child any day, set off to run the Chicago Marathon.

According to Chicago Tribune, as Amber Miller, 27, neared the final stages of the marathon, contractions kicked in.

But the brave Amber Miller continued the race regardless, half running – half walking, and she managed to cross the finish line in 6 hours and 25 minutes.

After few hours after she completed the marathon (26.2 miles) on Sunday, Amber Miller gave birth to her daughter, June Audra.

The Chicago race was not really the baby June’s first marathon, as her mother, Amber Miller ran the Wisconsin Marathon earlier this year, when she was four months pregnant.

Amber Miller also ran another marathon when she was about four months pregnant with her son, Caleb, now 19 months old.

The 27-year-old runner’s time was just three hours off her personal best.

Amber Miller began having contractions near the end of the race, but says she is not sure if it was labour, because she typically feels some contractions when she runs while pregnant.

Her husband drove Amber to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield where she gave birth to the healthy 7 pounds, 13 oz baby.

“The race was definitely easier than labour,” Amber Miller said at the end of the day.

The pregnant woman decided to run because she and her husband, Joe Miller, had already signed up for the race.

Amber Miller got the approval from her doctor and says she experienced a enthusiastic welcome from crowds as she ran along.

The athletic mother told WGN-Channel 9: “I got the OK from my doctor to run half, and my husband ran with me and supported me along the way,“

“I ran half and walked half, that’s how I finished. Everybody just kind of stared as I’m running by.”

Amber Miller told TV station she had ran regularly throughout her pregnancy and marathon organizers had not interfered in her decision to run.

“I just take it easy. I drink lots and walk lots so it’s not too bad.”

She also told Chicago Tribune: “I know what I can handle. This is something I’ve been doing for a long time.”

“I have been running all the way up until this point anyway so I’m kind of used to it.”

Amber Miller’s daughter was born at 10:29 pm on Sunday night after seven hours labour and she is in “excellent” shape, according to the neo-natologist at the hospital.

Doctors said the greatest risk to mother and baby was dehydration, which could have sent her into premature labour.

However, Amber Miller was in excellent physical shape when she ran and had already carried the baby full term.

A woman pushing a baby stroller was struck and killed by a train in Riverside, Southern California, on Saturday.

The unidentified mother was killed after 2 year-old daughter got caught in train tracks last night – but managed to save her child at the last minute by pushing her out of the way as a Metrolink commuter train in Southern California raged towards them.

In a final moment of heroism, the mother managed to free her child – but did not have enough time to get herself out of the way.

She was trying to walk through the Riverside crossing when the stroller became stuck in the tracks, police said.

The woman did not stop walking even though the arms of the crossing were down.

Riverside police Sergeant Dan Warren said:

“She didn’t quite make it.”

“The baby’s fine, but she got hit.”

Sergeant Kendall Banks added:

“The arms were down, lights were going and she tried to cross anyway and the stroller got stuck and she didn’t make it.”

An eyewitness, Sandra Castillo was walking past the scene when she spotted the child alone in her stroller.

“All I did was get the baby – get her in the side walk,” Sandra Castillo told KTLA.

“Because I didn’t want her to get hit by other cars.

“I was like, did she just randomly come out of nowhere? Did she fall off the train? But no, her mum got run over.

“She tried to take her life to save her baby”.

Passengers said the train, which was going from Oceanside to San Bernardino, stopped after the collision as investigators were called.

Police and railroad officials continue to investigate the collision.

None of the 50 passengers on the train were injured.

The little girl was treated at a local hospital as a precaution and is now in the care of her grandmother.

Gene Simmons proposed to Shannon several month ago, while they were on holiday in Belize. He previously said he would never marry and they were a happily unmarried couple.

I come with so much baggage, but you’re the only friend I’ve got, you’re the only one I’ve ever loved, you’re the only one I love, and the only one I ever will love. I’ve never said those words to anybody, and I don’t ever wanna… It’s funny, they used to watch movies where they say I can’t live without you but for me it’s true,” he said then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Police arrested more than 700 demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street protests who took to the roadway as they tried to cross the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

The police said it was the marchers’ choice that led to the enforcement action.

“Protesters who used the Brooklyn Bridge walkway were not arrested,” Paul J. Browne, the chief spokesman for the New York Police Department, said.

“Those who took over the Brooklyn-bound roadway, and impeded vehicle traffic, were arrested.”

Many protesters said they believed the police had tricked them, allowing them onto the bridge, and even escorting them partway across, only to trap them in orange netting after hundreds had entered.

“The cops watched and did nothing, indeed, seemed to guide us onto the roadway,” said Jesse A. Myerson, a media coordinator for Occupy Wall Street who marched but was not arrested.

A video on the YouTube page of a group called We Are Change shows some of the arrests.

Around 1 a.m., the first of the protesters held at the Midtown North Precinct on West 54th Street were released. They were met with cheers from about a half-dozen supporters who said they had been waiting as a show of solidarity since 6 p.m. for around 75 people they believed were held there. Every 10 to 15 minutes, they trickled out into a night far chillier than the afternoon on the bridge, each clutching several thin slips of paper – their summonses, for violations like disorderly conduct and blocking vehicular traffic. The first words many spoke made the group laugh: all variations on “I need a cigarette.”

David Gutkin, 24, a Ph.D. student in musicology at Columbia University, was among the first released. He said that after being corralled and arrested on the bridge, he was put into plastic handcuffs and moved to what appeared to be a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus, along with dozens of other protesters, for over four hours. They headed first into Brooklyn and then to several locations in Manhattan before arriving at the 54th Street precinct.

Men and women had been held separately, two or three to a cell.

None of the protesters interviewed knew if the bridge march was planned or a spontaneous decision by the crowd. But all insisted that the police had made no mention that the roadway was off limits.

The scene outside the Midtown South Precinct on West 35th Street around 2 a.m. was far more jovial. Only about 15 of the rumored 57 people had been released, but about a dozen waiting supporters danced jigs in the street to keep warm. They snacked on pizza. One even drank Coors Light beer, stashing the empty bottles under a parked police van. When a fresh protester was released, he or she ran through a gantlet formed by the waiting group, like a football player bursting onto the field during the Super Bowl. “This is so much better than prison!” one cheered.

The march on the bridge had come to a head shortly after 4 p.m., as the 1,500 or so marchers reached the foot of the Brooklyn-bound car lanes of the bridge, just east of City Hall.

In their march north from Zuccotti Park in Lower Manhattan – headquarters for the last two weeks of a protest movement against what demonstrators call inequities in the economic system – they had stayed on the sidewalks, forming a long column of humanity penned in by officers on scooters.

Where the entrance to the bridge narrowed their path, some marchers, including organizers, stuck to the generally agreed-upon route and headed up onto the wooden walkway that runs between and about 15 feet above the bridge’s traffic lanes.

But about 20 others headed for the Brooklyn-bound roadway, said Christopher T. Dunn of the New York Civil Liberties Union, who accompanied the march. Some of them chanted “take the bridge.” They were met by a handful of high-level police supervisors, who blocked the way and announced repeatedly through bullhorns that the marchers were blocking the roadway and that if they continued to do so, they would be subject to arrest.

There were no physical barriers, though, and at one point, the marchers began walking up the roadway with the police commanders in front of them – seeming, from a distance, as if they were leading the way.

After allowing the protesters to walk about a third of the way to Brooklyn, the police then cut the marchers off and surrounded them with orange nets on both sides, trapping hundreds of people. As protesters at times chanted “white shirts, white shirts,” officers began making arrests, at one point plunging briefly into the crowd to grab a man.

The police said that those arrested were taken to several police stations and were being charged with disorderly conduct, at a minimum.

Earlier in the afternoon, as many as 10 Department of Correction buses, big enough to hold 20 prisoners apiece, had been dispatched from Rikers Island in what one law enforcement official said was “a planned move on the protesters.”

Etan Ben-Ami, 56, a psychotherapist from Brooklyn, who was up on the walkway, said that the police seemed to make a conscious decision to allow the protesters to claim the road.

“They weren’t pushed back.”

“It seemed that they moved at the same time.”

Etan Ben-Ami said he left the walkway and joined the crowd on the road.

“It seemed completely permitted,” he said.

“There wasn’t a single policeman saying <<don’t do this>>.”

In related protests elsewhere in the country, 25 people were arrested in Boston for trespassing while protesting Bank of America’s foreclosure practices, according to Eddy Chrispin, a spokesman for the Boston Police Department.

A photograph collector from Ontario, Canada, claims he has found a picture of John Travolta from a previous incarnation in 1860.

John Travolta is a member of the Church of Scientology, which believes in reincarnation and asks some members to sign one billion year contracts of service.

The 150-year-old photo of a man who looks remarkably like John Travolta has been put up for sale on eBay.

“I’ve had this interesting photograph for years and I’ve been unable to part with it,” the seller said on the auction site.

“When you look at it and into the eyes of the sitter you will see what I mean!

“I believe this is the photograph of a very young John Travolta taken around 1860… This is a ruby glass ambrotype photograph and it is one of a kind.

“It hasn’t been changed, tampered with or altered in anyway. It is clear and is as nice as the day it was taken roughly 151 years ago.”

The photo is listed on eBay at $50,000 or nearest offer, and while it has a large price tag comes with free shipping and gift wrapping.

The listings comes after another antique dealer joked that he has a photo that is proof Nicolas Cage is more than just an A-list actor – he’s also a vampire who lived during the American Civil War.

The eBay seller claims to have a 4” by 2.5” carte de visit photo from around 1870 of a man who looks exactly like Nicolas Cage.

The seller, who has put the starting price at $1million, says the photo is 100% genuine and was taken of a man who lived in Bristol, Tennessee, around the time of the Civil War.

The seller is Jack Mörd from Seattle, Washington, whose Facebook page says he is originally from Los Angeles, California, and owns “The Thanatos Archive”.

“My theory is that he allows himself to age to a certain point, maybe 70, 80 or so, then the actor “Nicolas Cage” will <<die>>,” Jack Mörd joked.

“But in reality, the undead vampire <<Nicolas Cage>> will have rejuvenated himself and appeared in some other part of the world, young again, and ready to start all over.”

“The picture was found in the back of an album that contained many unusual death portraits from the Civil War era – but the Nicolas Cage lookalike was not identified by name,” Jack Mörd said.

Jack Mörd has a 100% positive feedback rating on eBay and his profile says he is interested in collecting and selling Victorian Era post-mortem photography, as well as other vintage pictures.

The eBay product description for “Nicolas Cage is a Vampire / Photo from 1870 / Tennessee” says:

“Original c.1870 carte de visit showing a man who looks exactly like Nick Cage.

“This is not a trick photo of any kind and has not been manipulated in Photoshop or any other graphics program.

“It’s an original photo of a man who lived in Bristol, TN, sometime around the Civil War.”

It is believed the photo was taken by a confederate Civil War prisoner of war photographer called Professor G.B. Smith.

Jack Mörd joked that Nicolas Cage could be a walking undead man who reinvents himself once every 75 years – and might be looking at going into politics or talk show hosting next.
