Venezuela has taken over Manpa toilet paper factory to avoid any shortage of the product.

The National Guard has taken control of the plant, and officers will monitor production and distribution.

Earlier this year officials ordered millions of toilet rolls to be imported to counter a chronic shortage.

Last week President Nicolas Maduro created a special committee to tackle the problem, which the government blames on unscrupulous traders.

The government ordered the temporary occupation of the Manpa plant in the northern state of Aragua, state-run Radio AVN reported.

In a tweet on Thursday, Venezuela’s Vice President, Jorge Arreaza, said authorities would “not permit hoarding of essential commodities, or any faults in the production and distribution process.”

The Minister of Trade, Alexander Fleming, said the factory occupation complied with Venezuelan law.

Honey Boo Boo’s mother, June Shannon, has shared her top tips for perfecting her favorite pastime – couponing.

In a new trailer for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, 33, suggests organizing coupons in a binder with labels for each individual product, and bringing the binder to the store.

While Mama June uses coupons to score discounts on many things, she says the one item she splurges on most is toilet paper: “Because everybody’s got to wipe their ass! I mean, hello!”

June Shannon, who often refers to herself as the coupon queen, exchanged vows with her boyfriend, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, at her home in Georgia in May.

The trailer shows Mama June and Honey Boo Boo painstakingly clipping out coupons and sticking them into their purple binder.

Then they take their tickets to the grocery store, where they scope out the best discounts.

“I think the thing that people most ever spend on is probably laundry detergent,” explains Mama June.

“With a coupon you can get the smaller size laundry detergent for like $2 if it’s on sale.”

June Shannon then gets confused doing the math, saying: “Buy four smaller bottles that equal the big bottle, you’re spending $4 versus $17.”

There is one product that Mama June and her gang buy without the help of her coupon collection.

“There’s not a lot of meat product coupons out there these days,” she says.

“So if you can find these, like, staple items, then you can provide that money that you saved to buy your meat.”

While toilet paper is one of her favorite items to buy with coupons, June Shannon says that she’s actually low on it at the moment, thanks to Honey Boo Boo.

The reality mom explains that when she and Sugar Bear went out for their anniversary, Honey Boo Boo and her babysitter decided to decorate the entire house – inside and outside – in toilet paper.

“I didn’t get Mama or Sugar Bear nothin’ for their anniversary,” Honey Boo Boo, who turned eight on Sunday, says in the clip.

“So I wanted to make their house very purdy.”

June Shannon rolls her eyes as she remembers the incident, saying: “We actually put my whole trash can out filled with toilet paper, when I could have used that for six months to wipe my ass with.”

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and their daughter North have been living in Kris Jenner’s since the baby birth on June 15.

But Kim Kardashian, 32, initially had some serious reservations about moving in with mother Kris Jenner, and is now rumored to be upping sticks.

In a preview for Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian is not convinced as Kris Jenner urges her to move in.

Kim Kardashian had been looking at rental properties but her mother and manager offered her another option.

“You don’t want to be all the way on the other side and you need one of us,” Kris Jenner told her heavily pregnant daughter.

“You’re going to be isolated in Beverly Hills with a baby.”

She went on: “Live with me in this gorgeous house. That would be the perfect scenario.”

But Kim Kardashian wasn’t so keen – because she “hates” the black and white interior of her mother’s home.

“I can’t take a shower in a black shower,” she whined.

In a surprisingly endearing turn, Kris Jenner then attempted to win Kim Kardashian over to the shower by saying that she feels “like a ninja” in it.

But the move was simply met by silence from Kim Kardashian and sister Kourtney and a pitying laugh from Kendall Jenner.

Kim Kardashian was determined to finish her rant and said: “The toilet paper’s black. I like to see what I’m s****ing and what I’m wiping.”

And she had the full support of her big sister Kourtney on the matter at hand.

Kourtney Kardashian, 34, wide-eyed and serious, said: “The toilet paper also leaves little black dots in your v**.”

Kris Jenner, 57, thought of the perfect solution to the problem by offering to buy white toilet paper, but a part of Kim Kardashian still remained unconvinced.

She told the cameras: “I just know I’m going to get crazy and I’ll go crazy living here. I don’t know what to do.”

The preview comes as reports have emerged that Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and baby North have now found a mansion to rent until renovations are complete on their Bel Air home.

A source told Radar Online: “Kim and Kanye have finally settled on a temporary mansion for their family to move into. It should be ready for them to move in the next two weeks.

“It’s over 8,000 square feet and offers complete privacy, which was a big concern of Kanye’s. The security system is being upgraded and Nori’s nursery is being outfitted with surveillance cameras.”

And North’s safety is apparently of utmost concern for rapper Kanye West.

The insider added: “When it comes to Nori’s safety, Kanye isn’t taking any chances. Kim has had stalkers in the past, so nothing is being left to chance.

“Of course, Kim wants everything to be perfect immediately for their temporary residence, even though it’s a rental. Family pictures are being hung on the walls in the house, and Kim is talking about painting Nori’s room.”

However, Katie Holmes’ choice of gown for the Punk: Chaos to Couture themed bash could only be described as a fashion faux pas.

The actress wore a white Francisco Costa gown, which was reminiscent of toilet paper as she glided down the red carpet.

The dress in question was a halterneck cut, showing off her back and shoulders.

Katie Holmes teamed the ensemble with a pair of white sky high stilettos that were a little too matchy matchy.

She also wore giant diamond earrings in her ears and stuck with the punk theme by styling her hair into a quiff and applying smokey eye make-up to her lids.

Katie Holmes was helped up the stairs to the famous museum by a suited and booted usher.

Public buildings in Trenton City, the capital of the US state of New Jersey, face running out of toilet paper following a row.

Trenton’s city council has refused to approve a $42,000 contract for paper products after baulking at its $4,000 charge for paper cups.

The toilet paper, along with other supplies, is to be used in government buildings such as city hall.

Removing the cups from the contract has not allayed the council’s suspicions over the bidding process.

One council member told Bloomberg News that “we’re not going to send out any blank cheques”.

George Muschal said the council did not want to approve Mayor Tony Mack’s decision to include $4,000 of paper cups designed for hot drinks, citing unreasonably high costs for the items.

It voted down the contract three separate times, most recently in January.

According to reports, the paper cups were removed without a new bidding process. Council members have also questioned why the city did not solicit bids from Trenton-based suppliers.

Fellow council member Kathy McBride, who voted for the contract during the January vote, said that move further raised the council’s suspicions.

“There’s enough blame to go around on both sides,” she said.

“I always have to function with one goal in mind, and that’s I represent the residents of the city.”

However, Kathy McBride told the Times of Trenton that the city council still had an obligation to keep the city running.

Mayor Tony Mack, who began his term in 2010, almost faced a recall election in 2011, following questions about his hiring practices.

The city has lost seven business administrators since the beginning of his term, including one who resigned pending an investigation of allegedly mishandling campaign money, and one who resigned before his first day of work.
