Cooked turkey should be consumed within 3 days or frozen up to a month. Cooked turkey will retain its moisture if you freeze it in turkey or chicken broth.
When storing fresh turkey, be sure to remove the giblets and store separately.

- Warranty Coverage – Your credit card company may offer to double or triple a manufacturer’s warranty for free on a product you purchase – a good option instead of purchasing a service contract that costs money and has a shorter duration period.
- Return Protection – A credit card company may guarantee a refund on a product up to 90 days where as the store may not. This is becoming particularly more important as retailers stiffen the allotted return days.
- Sale Price Protection – Some of the credit card companies will offer this protection and refund you the difference if a product you buy is marked down further than the price you paid within a certain time frame (usually 60 days).
An enormous amount of advertising, locally and online, can be confusing and nearly paralyzing to the Black Friday bargain hunter. 10. Have fun saving money while you shop!
Libby Spires of Nashville, Tennessee, who bought a turkey from Apple Market grocery store at Lebanon Pike this week was surprised to find the product had expired in November 2007.
When Libby Spires got the turkey out the freezer to begin preparing dinner, she double-checked the packet.
The woman told local news station News2: “I was shocked because it said November 23, 2007. I said, <<Oh my gosh, I can’t eat this turkey!>>”
Libby Spires returned the expired turkey to Apple Market on Tuesday afternoon and was given a complete refund.
She then bought another turkey for Thanksgiving dinner from another store – but made sure to check it was fresh.

General Manager of Apple Market, Ken Osborne, told News 2: “This is an honest mistake. We donate unused food to needy families and area churches. I don’t know how this was mixed up. It never should have happened.”
Ken Osborne urged customers to double check their produce and said he would be reinforcing the importance of this to his staff.
Libby Spires said she will still continue to shop at apple Market.
“I understand. It’s okay. I will shop there, but I will always look at the dates though,” Libby Spires added.
