Black Sabbath have played their last concert Birmingham.
The band credited with inventing heavy metal music played 15 songs ending with their first hit, Paranoid, at the two-hour gig at the NEC Arena.
Ticker tape and balloons fell as singer Ozzy Osbourne thanked fans for nearly five decades of support.
Black Sabbath’s The End Tour began in the US in January 2016 and took in 81 dates across the world.

While Ozzy Osbourne quit in 1977 to be replaced by Rainbow’s Ronnie James Dio, the classic line-up made their way back in 1997.
Bill Ward has not played with the band since 2012 and Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler were joined on stage at the final shows by drummer Tommy Clufetos and keyboard player Adam Wakeman.
The final song was streamed live on the band’s Facebook page and fireworks went off as the band took their final bow, posing for a farewell photograph in front of the cheering crowd.
“Thank you, goodnight, thank you so much,” Ozzy Osbourne, 68, said as they left the stage.
Tony Iommi gave a thumbs-up as he waved goodbye.
Ozzy Osborne said Black Sabbath’s farewell tour was the definitive end, vowing: “This is definitely it. It’s run its course.”
The fans were having their portraits taken and memories recorded, as part of the Home of Metal project.
The project is asking them to contribute photos and memorabilia for an exhibition celebrating the legacy of Black Sabbath, which will tour internationally in 2018, followed by a summer season in Birmingham and the Black Country in 2019.

Kelly Osbourne – currently a judge on hit show Fashion Police – wore a trendy black and white varsity jacket, an off the shoulder black top and matching trousers for her evening out with the two men in her life. Her look was completed by a pair of gold hoop earrings and a large black bag that served as a continuation of her understated neutral theme.

Ozzy Osbourne last week claimed that he was 44 days sober after his relapse.
The rocker has frequently spoken over the years about his battle with drugs and alcohol and has often been treated in rehabilitation clinics.
Ozzy spoke out in support of Tony Iommi, 65, last year and said: “When the bombshell hit about Tony’s cancer problem, I came to England. He needs more and more support, man.
“He doesn’t have a brother, he doesn’t have a sister, it’s just him and his wife and the members of Black Sabbath.
“He’s gonna beat it. What it’s down to is determination and believe me, this guy’s got more determination than anybody I’ve ever met.”
However, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, while Ozzy Osbourne was putting on a public face of defiance he was cracking under the pressure and the thought of losing Tony Iommi pushed him to drink and drugs.
The substance abuse quickly spiraled out of control and began to strain his relations with Sharon.
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have become one of Hollywood’s best-known couples since starring in a reality television show, The Osbournes, alongside two of their children, Jack and Kelly, which gave an insight into their family life in Beverly Hills.

A source has told The Sun: “They are living at different addresses and are not spending any time together. They row a lot.
“They aren’t acting like husband and wife. It is unusual to not even have dinner together when both of them are five minutes apart.”
According the reports, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne haven’t seen each other for three weeks and have recently moved out of their mansion and into two separate abodes.

“I didn’t even think of my breasts in a nostalgic way, I just wanted to be able to live my life without that fear all the time.”

Jack Osbourne wrote: “I love how going to Hawaii with my mum for her 60th has turned into my wedding. Hahaha people are funny.”
The happy news comes months after Jack Osbourne revealed he had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis soon after Pearl’s birth.
He said recently: “Honestly, I’m fine. Ultimately that is the toughest thing with this disease that I’m learning, one minute you can be fine, and the next I went blind in my right eye.
“It’s a completely unpredictable disease.”
Lisa Stelly added: “I think me and Jack are doing better than everyone else, honestly.
“We’re just really trying to stay positive and we don’t really have much time to be sad, because we have diapers to change and a little girl to look at and smile at.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have revealed that their son Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The TV and music star family said Jack was diagnosed from tests taken when he lost 60% vision in his right eye earlier this year.
Jack Osbourne, 26, told Hello! that after first feeling angry and upset he has now taken an attitude of “adapt and overcome”.
MS is an incurable neurological condition that damages the nerves and affects the transfer of messages around the body.
MS affects the brain and the nervous system and destroys myelin sheath layers between the nerves in the brain and spinal cord which stops impulses being carried around the body.
It can cause blindness, slurred speech, muscle weakness and a loss of coordination.
There is no known cause or cure for MS, which is three times more common in men than in women.
Between 2 and 5% of cases are discovered in children under 16.

Jack Osbourne said he had chosen to speak out in order to raise awareness of the condition. He added that the support of his fiancée Lisa Stelly was helping him to stay positive.
MS can have a wide range of symptoms, including tiredness, temporary blindness, loss of co-ordination and speech difficulties.
It is unpredictable and affects everyone differently. One in five sufferers has a benign form with mild attacks and no permanent disability, while another 15% have a progressive disease that steadily worsens.
Jack Osbourne was diagnosed with the condition three weeks after the birth of daughter Pearl, now two months old.
“The timing was so bad,” he said.
“I’d just had a baby, work was going great – I kept thinking: <<Why now?>>”
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne said they were still trying to come to terms with their son’s condition.
Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne said she had been asking herself if she was to blame.
“I kept thinking: <<What did I do wrong, what did I eat or drink when I was pregnant?>> I feel like it’s somehow my fault.”
Former Black Sabbath star Ozzy Osbourne said: “If it was me, you’d think: <<Ozzy had a reputation and it caught up with him>>, but Jack is such a good guy.”
Jack Osbourne – known as an extreme sports enthusiast – will use a combination of daily drug treatments, holistic therapies and lifestyle changes.
The family was the subject of a worldwide hit reality TV show, The Osbournes, which originally aired on MTV between 2002 and 2005.
The programme, also featuring the Osbournes’ daughter Kelly, won an Emmy award in 2002.
