Where can I use the Emblem? The emblem is available for use for activities associated with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations including community and national events, publications, retail and merchandising.

D. Use of The Queen’s title, name and emblems
Can I name something after The Queen or the Diamond Jubilee? As is customary in Jubilee years, the Deputy Prime Minister and the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales have been given discretion to sanction the use of The Queen’s title and name. A blanket approval is in place for the use of “Diamond Jubilee” and “Jubilee” for community events and buildings (subject to the proviso that building works start or finish in 2012, and events take place in 2012). Permission need not be sought for the use of the titles “Diamond Jubilee” and “Jubilee” in these circumstances.
Applications to use “The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee”, “Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee” and “Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee” must be submitted in writing. Applications in respect of England, Northern Ireland or any of the Crown Dependencies – Parliament and Constitution Division of the Cabinet Office; applications in respect of Scotland or Wales where responsibility for the subject of the application remains with the UK Government – to the Scotland Office and Wales Office respectively.

However, if you wish to invite Her Majesty to an event please write to The Queen’s Diary Secretary at Buckingham Palace, London SW1A 1AA.
I would like to compose a piece of music for The Queen for her Diamond Jubilee. Can I perform or dedicate it to Her Majesty? We have been overwhelmed by generous offers to compose or perform pieces of music in celebration of Her Majesty’s Jubilee next year and while there would of course be no objection to musical events of this nature taking place, it will not be possible to associate The Queen directly with these events.
How do I find out more information about Diamond Jubilee projects and events between now and next year? For those events listed above and taking place over the Jubilee central weekend, please see their individual websites for more details as they are announced. Alternatively, the Government DirectGov website will be updated with further news and announcements as they occur.

The two women were found stabbed to death by Recep Cetin in a forest, near the city of Izmir, Turkey.
Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore, both 54, were persuaded to take a taxi with the 17-year-old boy on the pretext that he wanted them to meet his father.
Recep Cetin asked the taxi driver to drive off the main road and went into a forest where he reportedly slashed their throats and stabbed them repeatedly.
Shannon and Recep Cetin, who killed the two women near Izmir.
[googlead tip=”vertical_mediu” aliniat=”stanga”] Marion Graham’s daughter Shannon, 15, who is believed to be Recep Cetin’s girlfirend raised the alarm when the women failed to return.
Initially, during police investigation, the Turkish teenager denied any involvement with their disappearance and he was claiming he had suffered a cut hand trying to fight off kidnappers who had bundled the women in a van.
However, the police investigators found bloodstained clothing dumped in a bin near his home and confronted the teenager who eventually admitted he killed the two women.
Recep Cetin, who uses the name Alex, admitted he took the women in his father’s car to the forest near Buca, on the outskirts of Izmir, and stabbed them.
He appeared in court on Friday evening in a preliminary hearing.
Shannon’s father, Raymond McGuinness, was due to fly to Turkey on Saturday to bring his daughter home with the bodies of her mother and friend.
Raymond McGuinness said:
“He told Shannon that he had tried to stop the kidnappers and he had a cut on his hand and that’s how he suffered it.”
The two murdered women are from Newry in County Down, Northern Ireland, but were travelling on Irish passports, which is not uncommon.
Marion Graham had rented a house in the famous resort of Kusadasi, 60 miles to the south of Izmir and on the Aegean seaside, and she used to spend long time in there every summer.
Her sister, Monica Higgins, said:
“It’s absolutely devastating. We’ve just found out. My mother’s in the car crying her eyes out.
“We’re trying to work with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs to find out what exactly happened to her.”
Mrs. Graham’s daughter, Shannon was not with the women when they were attacked being on a boat trip out of Kusadasi for the day.
Shannon has been in a relationship with the Turkish waiter, who had been staying with the group, for 3 years.
[googlead tip=”lista_medie” aliniat=”stanga”]According to some local sources, Recep Cetin had been embarrassed by the attitudes of the British women, who enjoyed late nights and the company of local men. The sources also claimed Marion Graham had married a Kurdish man some time ago, but only four people were living at the house. It was also suggested that Shannon had begun to mix with a bad crowd during this year’s summer trip.
Kathy Dinsmore had been an employee of Newry and Mourne District Council. She also worked in a local cab firm up until last Christmas.
The two women had been regular visitors to Kusadasi for years, staying in an apartment owned by Raymond McGuinness.
Police is investigating now claims that the Shannon’s mother had refused to allow the young couple to marry, according to Turkish news agency Anatolia.
Waiter’s father and the taxi driver have been also arrested.
An Irish Embassy official was dispatched to support Shannon until her father arrival. She was comforted on Friday by a Kusadasi-based Irish hotelier at the police station in Izmir.
Recep Cetin family’s members have made uncorroborated claims that he has been beaten, subjected to electric shocks and had his fingernails removed by the police.
The Turkish police didn’t make any comment on the incident until now.

The middle-age women, believed to be from County Down, Northern Ireland, were murdered late last night in a forest, near the city of Izmir, about 75 miles from the Kusadasi resort.
A 17-year-old Turkish youth, who seemed to be the boyfriend of a daughter of one of the women, has been arrested.

The young man is believed to have murdered the two women after one of them refused permission for him to marry her daughter.
According to Turkey’s state-run news agency Anatolia, the teenager, Recep C, took them in a taxi to a quiet woodland area of the regional capital Izmir, where he killed them both.
The alarm have been raised by the 15 year-old daughter after the women failed to return home, prompting police to search the estate they were staying where the discovered bloodstained clothing in a bin.
As of early this afternoon the duaghter was had still not been told that her mother was dead, according to Daily Telegraph.
The suspect denied the attack when first confronted but confessed while being interrogated by police. His father and the taxi driver have also been detained, Anatolia reported.
One of the victims, understood to be from County down, Northern Ireland, is said to own property in Kusdasi and spent long time at the Aegean coast resort, which is visited by thousands by British and Irish tourists every year.
Both women were travelling on Irish passports and are understood not to be British citizens.
An Irish diplomat has been dispatched from Ankara, to look after the one of the women’s daughter, who was not with the women at the time of attack.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin confirmed consular staff is trying to track down family members.[googlead tip=”lista_medie” aliniat=”dreapta”]
“We are providing consular assistance through the embassy in Ankara,” the spokesman said.
South Down Member of Parliament Margaret Ritchie said she was shocked by the deaths and offered her sympathy to the bereaved families.
“My thoughts are with those involved in this terrible incident.
“And also with their families, who never got the chance to say goodbye to their loved ones.”
“I think all the people of South Down will be saddened by this news.”
