Nine-year-old Honey Boo Boo is obese, The Doctors specialists said during a recent appearance of the little reality star in the show.
During the show, the two doctors confronted Mama June about Alana Thompson’s terrible eating habits.
Alana Thompson started her young career in beauty pageants on Toddlers and Tiaras.
Then she moved on to Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fame, where we all learned that she loves not-so-great-for-you treats such as fried Oreos.
“My favorite food? Chicken nuggets, I would have to say,” Honey Boo Boo told Travis Stork, host of The Doctors who stages an “intervention” on the show.
“I like corn dogs.”
Honey Boo Boo also likes “KFC”.
But the focus of the show is to give her mother, June Shannon, a wake-up call, a reality check and to try to turn around Honey Boo Boo’s lifestyle.
“I do worry about her health,” said Mama June.
The doctors – Travis Stork and Jennifer Ashton – reveal that Honey Boo Boo’s height and weight (4-foot-6 and 125 pounds) is not good, especially for a 9-year-old.
“She is obese,” said Jennifer Ashton.
Mama June says that a lot of the weight is due to steroids Honey Boo Boo takes for her asthma.
“You’re trying to make a lot of excuses,” said Travis Stork, but he added that her diet of fried, salty and sugary foods is contributing to her health problems, including asthma, which is inflammation of the airways.
After checking out their home fridge, Travis Stork said: “June, I”m sorry, but I didn’t see anything in that fridge that’s either going to improve Alana’s weight or decrease inflammation in her body. And, I’m going to be honest, you need to take some responsibility here. … I want to see a bit of a light bulb, where you say, <<Maybe I can do better, maybe even a heck of a lot better>>.”
June Shannon didn’t like hearing her grocery shopping choices were the culprits and instead blamed Honey Boo Boo’s weight on asthma medication. But the doctor knows best, and he followed up with: “It’s not her steroids that are causing her to be obese. It’s the foods she’s eating.”
The two take a taste test of healthier foods and realize that maybe they can learn to love pizza made with cauliflower crust and oven-fried chicken made with rolled oats.

Honey Boo Boo’s elder sister Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell is asking her fans to help her financially after revealing that her mother, June Shannon, had stolen her trust fund money.
Anna Cardwell recently created a GoFundMe campaign for herself and has pleaded with fans to send their donations, TMZ reports.
As TLC has cancelled reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Anna Cardwell’s trust fund money was allegedly stolen, she is allegedly struggling to stay afloat financially.
However, her fans immediately slammed Anna Cardwell and refused to offer donations to a famous and once highly paid reality TV star, TMZ reports.
Following the backlash, Anna Cardwell reportedly issued an apology before deleting the GoFundMe page: “I’m deleting my fund me cause everyone thinks I’m money hungry.”
“And I have been think about everyone’s opinions and I got alot of chooses and I have done there idea and I get the s*** end of the stick.”
Anna Cardwell is also looking to write a tell-all book about her family or star in her own spin-off reality TV show.

For the first time since allegedly resuming her relationship with convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, Mama June is sitting down for an exclusive interview with ET‘s Brooke Anderson to defend her actions and answer the questions everyone has been asking.
Honey Boo Boo’s mother said:“I have nothing to hide, I have nothing to lose.
“I just want, honestly, to tell my side of the story and let’s move on.”
June Shannon, 35, came under fire last month after reports surfaced that she had rekindled a romantic relationship with Mark McDaniel, who was recently released from jail after serving 10 years for aggravated child molestation.
However, according to Mama June, she has only seen Mark McDaniel twice since his release from prison, once at a coincidental meeting and the second time at an arranged meeting to give closure to her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14, who was raised believing Mark McDaniel was her biological father.

“Since two months to almost six years, she knew nobody but him,” June Shannon explained.

“I was sitting right there with twelve other people,” she told ET.
“It was a conversation that she wanted her answers: what happened, why did he leave, you know, if he was her real father. He admitted to her, no. I had already told her that but, you know, she wanted to hear from both sides of the story.”
Mama June revealed for the first time her claim that Pumpkin’s biological father is also the father of her 18-year-old daughter Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon. His name is Michael Anthony Ford, he is a convicted s** offender who served time for exploitation of minors after being caught on To Catch a Predator in 2005.
“Jessica and Pumpkin have the same dad, but Jessica’s dad has had nothing to do with her over the years,” June Shannon said.
“So, why the hell would I open up that can of worms until today? I lied to my family and told them it was somebody else.”
As for whether June Shannon understands why people were so upset over her being seen with Mark McDaniel, she says: “I understand that…and honestly it’s not like I’m seeing him every day, I promise…I wanted to be able to give one of my other daughters closure and now Pumpkin is happy, that piece of our life is over.”

Anna Chickadee Shannon told E! News that there are trust funds for all the girls, noting that $30,000 was set aside from show earnings, and claimed that she called the bank and was told there was only $17.90 in the account.
“I have a feeling Mama used that money to buy a car or buy him what he wanted,” Anna Shannon Cardwell told E! News.
June Shannon denies these claims: “Not true. I have never brought a car for him and all her money is there, beside the money I have given her to live on – $400 every month and pay her $475 each month for cell phone bills for the last two years. That’s the only money I have taken out of there.”

Sources close to the show told TMZ that TLC’s biggest concern is the welfare of Honey Boo Boo and the other children and they are upset their mother has put them at risk by allegedly dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel.
The network, citing a morals clause, believes June Shannon does not deserve full payment so they have deducted a significant amount from what she would have received if the show had aired.
However, the children will be paid in full as will Sugar Bear and Uncle Poodle.
According to new reports, Mark McDaniel destroyed June Shannon and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson’s relationship, even though the child molester was behind bars almost the entire time June was with Sugar Bear.
June Shannon was keeping a box of photos of her and Mark McDaniel in the house, something Sugar Bear knew about and protested, to no avail, TMZ reported. However, Mama June would not get rid of them.

“When [the Division of Family and Children Services] gets a report that indicates a child is living around someone who is a s** offender or who may have been guilty of child molestation, we would take that very seriously and go out and investigate and look at the parent’s protective capacity,” she said.
Susan Boatwright said with a case like the one the Shannon family is allegedly facing, child services “would look to see if the allegations that were reported were true and the next step would be to determine how safe or unsafe the children are in the current environment.”
She explained that if the parent is seen as being able to handle the situation and protect his or her children from the pedophile in question, the child will be left in his or her home. If not, child services would look to relatives nearby to try and find a safe home for the child.
Back in September, June Shannon split from Honey Boo Boo’s father, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson. June Shannon is currently the primary caregiver for her three underage daughters: Ala, Lauryn and Jessica.

Susan Boatwright said young children tend to be more vulnerable to abuse, but anyone under 18 can be taken from a parent’s care if the division of child services determines the environment is unsafe. Honey Boo Boo is 9 years old, and a photo recently surfaced of Mark McDaniel seemingly touching her arm.
A typical child services investigation can take anywhere from 30 to 45 days, Susan Boatwright said.

Honey Boo Boo aired its fourth season finale in August 2014, which brought in 1.81 million viewers. A fifth season had not previously been announced.

As far as Mama June is concerned, a new baby is the last thing she wants. The four she has are plenty. So she keeps her fears to herself and goes about planning Honey Boo Boo and Anna’s joint birthday party as they were born on the same day 11 years apart.
They agree to celebrate at a local carnival, but Anna didn’t show up. A mean move that really devastated her mom, but it was clear what the teen was up to. Anna is still intent on moving out and Mama June is giving her a hard time about it. She was probably trying to assert her independence. Mama June can’t help but lament about what it will be like without Anna and Kaitlyn in the house.
Finally, Mama June takes a pregnancy test and gets the answer she was hoping for. It’s negative.

Pictures have shown Mama June and she has actually lost weight. The entire family was in a car wreck and there was no mention of a baby or of a pregnancy. It would be pretty shocking if she is pregnant and they were able to keep it a secret from the fans for this long. There is no news out there for sure if she is pregnant or not so hopefully they will reveal it next week.

This week’s episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo started with Alana Thompson walking into the bathroom and quickly emerging, flushed with horror, over someone who didn’t.
Declaring the situation “a poop mystery that we have to figure out,” Honey Boo Boo encountered a round of denials from the family, including Jessica “Chubbs”, who asks: “What are you, Sherlock Poop?”
After Honey Boo Boo failed to get to the bottom of the situation, the action shifted to Mama June and Sugar Bear, who once again asked for alone time, “which is baby-making time,” a notion June Shannon flat-out rejected as she wants no more kids.

However, June Shannon agreed to go on a double date with her sister, Doe-Doe, and her new paramour, Jose.
The action is back to Honey Boo Boo slinking around the house with a magnifying glass, tracking her family with a vow to get to the bottom of this “mess-tery”.
The two couples went on a double date to a Japanese restaurant.
Back at home, June Shannon mused about how important it is to create lasting family memories, then emerges from the bathroom and looks at the calendar in a panic, realizing her time of the month is late.
People commenting on the show’s Facebook page are now wondering if June Shannon is pregnant.

However, the episode was filmed last summer… so, most probably, June Shannon is not pregnat.

“We actually met online, through a Yahoo chatroom,” Mama June said.
“I love when people meet online!” Kelly Ripa exclaimed.
“It was kind of a like a hook em and book em kind of thing,” Mama June further explained.
“Kind of like a you call me, I call you kind of thing. And it just, like, developed from there.”
Michael Gelman asked for clarity: “Did you say hook him and book him?”
“You know, the phone rings late at night…,” Honey Boo Boo’s mom said.

Mama June noted: “When they go on sale for 75 percent off and you use coupons you can get them for three and four dollars.”
“That’s right, you are the coupon queen?” Kelly noted.
“Pretty much,” June Shannon said.
“And I’m the pageant queen!” Honey Boo Boo said, fluffing her hair.
Moving on, Kelly read some reader questions. First, how is Mama June’s forklift foot doing?
“You can dance still?” Kelly asked, potentially opening the door to a Mama June branding opportunity.
“I’m not going to be on Dancing With the Stars anytime soon,” the reality star said.
Wrapping up, a reader asked if Mama June would strike her signature “Smexy” pose. She obliged and Honey Boo Boo followed her mother’s lead.
“That was a double Smexy!” Kelly applauded.
