The H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade will welcome the holiday season by celebrating all things Houston, including a salute to the world-acclaimed Texas Medical Center.

Presiding over the 65th annual parade as Grand Marshals will be the stars from TLC’s television series The Little Couple, Bill Klein and Dr. Jennifer Arnold along with their children, Will and Zoey.

The fun begins at 9AM on Thanksgiving Day when the downtown business district streets will come alive with zesty marching bands, imaginative floats and colorful balloons.

Parking is available for a fee at multiple locations.

Parade route and street closures:

Wednesday, November 26, 2014:
Pre-closures for staging – McKinney (from Bagby to Louisiana) at 9:00AM; Brazos (from Dallas to Lamar / east curb lane to remain open) at noon; Smith (from Walker to Lamar) at 6:00PM, Lamar (from Bagby to Smith) at 6:00PM.

Thursday, November 27, 2014:
Parade begins at 9:00AM on Lamar at Smith, north on Smith, east on Walker, south on Milam, west on Pease, north on Louisiana, west on Clay, north on Smith and concludes on at Smith at Dallas. Closures for parade route begins at 8:15AM. Closures for staging begins at 6:00AM on Allen Pkwy (inbound) at Taft, Allen Pkwy (outbound) from Bagby to Sabine street, Allen Pkwy at Clay (split ), Bagby at Rusk (south bound direction) and Bagby at Dallas (northbound direction). Disbanding on Allen Pkwy (inbound ) between Bagby and Taft street.

METRO buses will be running on holiday schedule. Bleacher and specialty seating will not be available however; spectator access along the parade route is free and open to the public. Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets so you can enjoy the parade in comfort.   Food trucks and vendors will be available along the parade route.

The 65th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade is produced by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, Susan Christian, Director and Parade Producer.
