Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si and his nephew Willie Robertson faced off in the ultimate competition to win a wood chipper.

The June 25 episode of Duck Dynasty proved who was the manliest of men when Si and Willie Robertson faced off in a competition to win the ultimate prize: a wood chipper.

For some reason, Mountain Man came up with the genius idea to host his own contest – “Hands on a Hardbody” – on his radio show. However, he didn’t think his plan through all the way because there was only one problem: he did not have the money to purchase a truck for the competition.

Mountain Man stopped by Willie Robertson’s office to ask for a donation, which Willie was apprehensive about at first until his wife, Korie, convinced him to hand over $1,000 to help out a friend.

The next day, Si and Willie Robertson head over to Mountain Man’s house, which unbeknownst to them was the site of the competition. To their surprise, Mountain Man decided to swap the truck in for a wood chipper as the grand prize.

When no one else showed up for the competition, Si and Willie Robertson ended up facing off with each other.

The competition came to an all time high when Uncle Si tried to psych Willie out.

Jase Robertson joined in the fun when he began to provide a running commentary about something “magical” – Willie’s tinkle dance.

In the end, Si Robertson won the wood chipper.

Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson assumed the role of bad cop when his daughter, Lily, went on her first date with a boy from her class.

The June 25 episode of Duck Dynasty showed how Jep Robertson went into over-protective dad mode after his wife broke the news that their daughter, Lily, 11, had plans to go on her very first date.

Jep Robertson’s daughter, Lily, went on her first date with a boy from her class

Jep Robertson’s wife, Jessica, told him that their daughter, Lily, had her first official boyfriend and they planned to go out on their first date, at mini golf. Jep insisted that he chaperone the date, and he quickly turned the situation into a good cop/bad cop scenario.

He joked that Lily would have to be 5′ 8″ tall before she was allowed to go on a date with any boy.

When the day of the date came, Jep Robertson complained when Lily’s date, John Daniel, arrived late. However, he made up for it later on when he bought Lily flowers, gave her his jacket when she was cold, and said that he enjoyed hunting.

By the end of the date, Jep Robertson and John Daniel seemed to have hit it off pretty well despite Jep’s premature opinions.

Zach Dasher joked Monday on Fox News’ Hannity: “They’re going to be a big part of the campaign. I’m going to have Phil as my PR director – he’s so good with the media, and I’m probably going to have Si as my strategic consultant.”

“We’re still working on the details,” Phil Robertson’s nephew said.

Zach Dasher, who announced his bid for Louisiana’s 5th Congressional District, said the support of the Robertson family “means a lot.”

“We share a similar background and philosophy, be it political or our spiritual beliefs as well,” the candidate said.

Did you miss Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson last week when he was signing autographs?

Well, he is coming back! Wednesday, June 25th from Noon-2PM. Stop by the Duck Commander Warehouse and see him.

Uncle Si wrote on his Facebook page: “I’ll be BACK JACK! This Wednesday, June 25 from Noon-2PM signing autographs at the Duck Commander Warehouse! Come by and see me!”

Calhoun businessman Zach Dasher, a cousin of Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, announced Monday he will run for Congress in Louisiana’s 5th District.

The seat is currently held by embattled GOP Rep. Vance McAllister, who won the district in a special election last November – largely thanks to the local reality television superstar Willie Robertson’s support.

Zach Dasher said he has the full support of the Robertson family in a Monday morning interview with Louisiana radio show host Moon Griffon.

The news comes as a blow for Vance McAllister, who has waffled in recent weeks about whether he’s running for re-election. Earlier this year, Vance McAllister was caught on video kissing a staffer in his district office – an incident that gave him the title “kissing congressman”.

State Sen. Neil Riser, whom Vance McAllister defeated in the special election runoff for the seat, also announced on Monday that he will not run for the seat.

“I won’t be running in the 5th Congressional District this fall,” Neil Riser told LA Politics on Monday.

“I’m not ruling anything else out in the future, but I’m not going to be a part of this race in the fall.”

Candidates have until August 22 to file the necessary paperwork to run in Louisiana. In the state, all candidates who qualify run on the same ballot in November. If no candidate garners at least 50% of the vote, the race proceeds to a December runoff.

Louisiana’s 5th District is heavily Republican territory. GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney carried the district with 61% in 2012.

In a recent interview with Fox News, Duck Dynasty’s Miss Kay Robertson opened up about her husband Phil’s pre-fame battle with alcoholism and revealed why she stayed with him after he admitted to adultery.

Miss Kay, who married Phil Robertson when she was just 16 years old, said: “The worst advice I ever got was when they told me to leave him.”

“I attribute a lot of [sticking with Phil] to my grandma. She was such a stickler for staying with your marriage. She always used to say, <<You have to fight for your marriage>>.”

Miss Kay Robertson, now 63, added: “Of course I was someone that never believed I would have to do that because I read way too many books that ended with, <<And they lived happily ever after>>…When I say, <<I love you>>, it’s for life. If we would not have stayed together I would have known in my heart that I had done everything I could possibly do to make that marriage work.”

During Phil Robertson’s bout with alcoholism, Miss Kay said she reassured the couple’s children, Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jep, that their father was at heart a good man who deserved forgiveness.

“I told my kids, <<Your dad is a good man. He has a good heart but right now the he’s letting the devil control him and that’s who we should hate – the devil and not Phil. We’ll pray and pray that the devil will leave him but he has to make the choice to do that,” Miss Kay Robertson recalled.

“I knew that from the Bible, and eventually he did make the right choice. I think that’s why my heart and my kids were easy to forgive too.”

Missy Robertson wrote on her Facebook page: „We spent last night celebrating with Reed, his classmates and families. I couldn’t be more proud of the decisions he’s made about attending a Christian college and trying to live a pure life for Jesus. There will always be persecution for godly choices (which he is already experiencing), but it only solidifies these choices as what is best for God’s kingdom (Matt. 5:11-12). To all those <<kids>> out there who are doing the same, Godspeed! Stand in your faith! You will be blessed.”

Reed Robertson was born on January 24, 1995. H is the eldest child and first son of Jase and Missy Robertson.

Duck Dynasty stars will be among the highlighted acts at this year’s Alaska State Fair, officials announced Wednesday.

Phil Robertson and other members of the show will headline the concert venue August 30, fair marketing director Dean Phipps said.

The family patriarch was briefly suspended by A&E last year after GQ magazine quoted him declaring that gays are sinners and African Americans were happy under Jim Crow laws establishing segregation. Supporters of Phil Robertson’s right to voice his opinions flocked to his defense before the network reinstated him.

The fair is not making a statement in booking the family, Dean Phipps said.

“Us having them at the fair is not an endorsement of those opinions. But it’s a reflection of the popularity of the show with a lot of Alaskans who would want us to have them here,” he said.

Public opinion was running about 50-50 on the fair’s Facebook site after the act was announced, Dean Phipps said. Some people stopped in at fair headquarters to buy memberships that would allow them to purchase tickets to the show before they go on sale to the general public.

“We’re the Alaska State Fair, which means we represent all Alaskans, and if there’s anything that all Alaskans have it’s an opinion – and it’s all not the same,” Dean Phipps said.

“We’re charged with representing all Alaskans, and there’s a ton of them that are fans of <<Duck Dynasty>>. “

The fair does not book rap acts that promote violence or crime, he said. But when it comes to something more “subjective” like booking members of the Duck Dynasty cast, people can decide whether to attend the event, Dean Phipps said.

“We’re not requiring people to go to the show. It’s not something that’s right there at the gate when you walk in. You have to actually make a choice to go,” he said.

The Alaska State Fair, which runs from August 21-September 1 at the fairgrounds in Palmer, also announced that country singer Brett Eldredge will perform August 27.

Previously announced acts include Seether, Thompson Square, Tesla, Three Days Grace and Pentatonix. More acts will be announced later.

Duck Dynasty’s Alan Robertson, who only joined the show last year, boasted a scruffy beard and joked that he had had to take a measure to prove he was a Robertson.

Alan Robertson also took credit for a spike in Duck Dynasty traffic when he led his parents’ vow renewal ceremony at the start of Season 4.

His wife Lisa said that the couple’s decision to leave pastoral ministry and join their extended family had been a tiring but rewarding decision.

Alan Robertson’s new look also has him eating his words, considering he was previously committed to a clean-shaven alternative.

“We all used to cut them off. But now, since they are such big stars and their beards are in their contracts, they have to keep them a certain length,” he said of Willie, Phil, Si and the other Duck Dynasty men.

“Their beards are about to get their own agent.”

Duck Dynasty’s Lisa Robertson revealed she was abused by a family member from ages 7 to 14.

In a recent interview with Closer Weekly, Alan Robertson’s wife said six other family members have come forward to say they were abused as well.

“I’ve had six of those cousins send me notes telling me it happened to them too. I don’t know if it was the same person [who abused them],” Lisa Robertson told the publication.

“But he had the same access to them.”

Lisa Robertson, 48, told the magazine she wrote of the abuse in the book The Women of Duck Commander so that others can be helped by her experience.

“My husband was the very first person I told,” she said.

“God took my mess and made a message out of it, and He wants me to get out there and show the healing part.”

Lisa Robertson said her biggest regret is that she didn’t speak out sooner.

Lisa and Alan Robertson, the “beardless brother”, were introduced on Duck Dynasty this year.

“Alan and Si make a great team and I expect we’ll all hear an entertaining message about the importance of family and faith.  I can’t wait for the event and I’m encouraging everyone to join us for a fun evening.”

The crowd was entertained by the Nashville band The Mauldin Brothers and feasted on barbecue food, cooked up by local restaurant Podnuh’s. America’s favorite uncle is kind of like the Kramer of Duck Dynasty.

He is known for his storytelling, his constant use of the phrase “Hey!” and his ever-present blue plastic cup, which his mother sent him while he was stationed in Vietnam.

Uncle Si is often filmed carrying around a jug of sweet tea and he loves pizza.

Duck Dynasty’s Missy Robertson celebrated her 43rd birthday on Tuesday, April 22 – the same day as her brother-in-law and Duck Commander CEO, Willie Robertson.

Missy Robertson spent her birthday watching son Reed and nephew John Luke (Willie and Korie Robertson’s son) play in tennis regionals.

She wrote on her Facebook page: “Beautiful day for a birthday watching Reed and John Luke play in tennis regionals. Thank you, everybody, for so many sweet wishes! I am blessed beyond measure.”

After marrying Jase Robertson in 1991, and now busy raising another generation of Robertsons, Missy West learned early on that she needed to step up her game.

With help from her mother-in-law, Miss Kay, Missy Robertson transitioned into the lifestyle of a large family easily. She also learned that being a Robertson meant helping with the family business.

However, after working for Duck Commander for many years, Missy Robertson is now able to devote much of her time to her real passion of vocal music, both singing and volunteering as a music teacher at her children’s school.

Missy Robertson also handles her own family’s many activities and tries her best to keep 44-year-old Jase in line.

Jase and Missy Robertson have been married for more than 22 years and have three children: Reed, Cole, and Mia.
