Shia LaBeouf has pleaded guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct over his disruption of a Broadway performance of Cabaret.

Under the terms of the plea, Shia LaBeouf, 28, will avoid jail or probation.

However, he must complete a treatment program, attend all court appearances and avoid arrest for six months.

Shia LaBeouf was arrested in June after smoking, shouting at actors and using abusive language as he was removed from the audience at a Cabaret performance.

According to court documents, he yelled, “do you know who I am?” at security guards at New York’s Studio 54 theatre. Shia LaBeouf later spat at an officer’s feet at a nearby police station.

Shortly after the arrest, a publicist for Shia LaBeouf said the actor had begun receiving treatment for alcoholism.

In New York on Wednesday, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Diana Boyar asked: “Are you pleading guilty because you are guilty?”

“Yes, your honor,” Shia LaBeouf said.

The judge ordered him to complete a three-month course of treatment. The actor made no comment as he left court.

Shia LaBeouf’s arrest at the Broadway revival of Cabaret, starring Alan Cumming and Michelle Williams, followed a series of instances where he had behaved erratically in public.

He walked out of a news conference for Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

Shia LaBeouf later appeared on the red carpet with a paper bag on his head, on which was written: “I am not famous anymore.”

Shia LaBeouf has voluntarily asked for outpatient care for his alcohol addiction, his spokeswoman, Melissa Kates, confirmed.

Last week LaBeouf was accused of disturbing a performance of the musical Cabaret inside New York’s Studio 54.

The actor was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after police said he used obscene language and became aggressive when he was asked to leave the venue.

Shia LaBeouf, 28, did not enter a plea to the New York charges when he was arraigned last week.

They are all misdemeanors or violations, so if convicted he would face little or no jail time.

“He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery,” said Melissa Kates.

Shia LaBeouf has previously starred alongside Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, as well as taking a leading role in Michael Bay’s Transformers franchise.

Shia LaBeouf has been arrested at a performance of the musical Cabaret in New York.

Shia LaBeouf, 28, was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass following a disturbance at New York’s Studio 54 theater on Thursday.

The actor was escorted out of the theatre and taken into custody by New York police after refusing to go when asked to do so by security guards.

A police spokesman said: “The incident occurred at Studio 54 during Cabaret at around 9pm [ET]. He was acting disorderly, yelling and being loud, and is currently being held at the Midtown North police station.”

“He will be taken to jail tonight and will then have to appear in court.”

Broadway songwriter Benj Pasek tweeted that he saw Shia LaBeouf “in handcuffs in tears surrounded by 6 police officers outside of CABARET the musical”.

“He was being rather difficult and combative, verbally… to the point where security guards asked him to please leave the premises and he refused,” NYPD’s George Tsourovakas said.

“Police were called and he was detained and arrested.”

Shia LaBeouf – whose films include Transformers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps – walked out of a news conference for Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac at the Berlin Film Festival in February.

He later appeared on the red carpet with a paper bag on his head, on which was written: “I am not famous anymore.”

A month previously the actor had tweeted that he was quitting “public life”.

“In light of the recent attacks against my artistic integrity, I am retiring from all public life,” Shia LaBeouf wrote in January.

The latest incident comes ahead of the release of Transformers: Age of Extinction, the first in the Michael Bay robot series not to star Shia LaBeouf.

Reese Witherspoon’s arrest video footage shows how actress got into a drunken confrontation with a police officer which resulted in her detention for disorderly conduct.

The one and a half minute film, taken from the patrol car’s dash camera and posted on TMZ, shows Reese Witherspoon luring and screaming at a police officer in Atlanta, Georgia following her husband Jim Toth’s arrest for DUI.

Reese Witherspoon, 37, was arrested for on April 19 after disobeying an officer’s order to stay in the car.

After repeated requests from the police officer and her husband to stay quiet, Reese Witherspoon’s antagonistic exchange with the police officer ended in her being handcuffed and charged.

In the video, an agitated Reese Witherspoon attempts to protest after husband Jim Toth was handcuffed after failing a field sobriety test.

The officer told the actress several times to sit down and stay in the car, much to her chagrin.

“I’m pregnant and I need to use the restroom,” she calls to the officer – but she later revealed on Good Morning America on Thursday was untrue.

Seemingly unable to listen, Reese Witherspoon gets out of the car and begins arguing with the officer who promptly arrests her.

“Do you know my name sir?” she asks the policeman, who responds with a curt, “Don’t need to know.”

“You don’t NEED to know my name?” she asks.

“You’re about to find out who I am,” the actress adds.

Clearly furious at being handcuffed, Reese Witherspoon begins to indignantly accuse the officer of harassment.

“I’m a U.S. citizen… I’m allowed to stand on American ground and ask any question I want to ask,” she screams.

“You’re harassing me as an American citizen. You better not arrest me.”

Even more damming for Reese Witherspoon was her husband’s rather embarrassed reaction to her outburst after she is handcuffed.

“I’m sorry. I had absolutely nothing to do with that,” Jim Toth told the officer.

Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon pleaded “no contest” to charges stemming from her disorderly conduct arrest two weeks ago.

The actress was not in the Atlanta court to hear her lawyer Bruce Morris enter the plea on Thursday.

Reese Witherspoon was ordered to pay a $213 fine on the charge of “physical obstruction of another”, according to TMZ.

However, Jim Toth was in court to enter a guilty plea for DUI.

The judge told him: “Consider yourself fortunate you didn’t injure your passenger [Reese Witherspoon] and didn’t kill anyone.”

Jim Toth, a talent agent for CAA, received no jail time, but must perform 40 hours of community service and attend an alcohol education programme.

He has also been placed on probation for 12 months.

Reese Witherspoon appeared on Good Morning America on Thursday, in her first interview since her arrest.

Speaking publicly for the first time about the incident, the actress said: “It was just one of those nights – we went out to dinner and had one too many glasses of wine.

“We thought we were OK to drive but we definitely were not. We are just so sorry this happened. We know better than that. It’s something that will absolutely never happen again.

“I had no idea what I was thinking that night. I saw him arrest my husband and I just panicked. I said all kinds of crazy things to the officer. I even told him I was pregnant. I am not pregnant!”

When asked what she said to her children about the incident, Reese Witherspoon told ABC: “The worst part was having to speak to the kids.

“We are so embarrassed by it but we just had to tell them that when you make a mistake, you have to take responsibility. We were honest with them.”

Reese Witherspoon has two children aged 13 and 9 with her first husband Ryan Phillippe and an 8-month-old baby with Jim Toth.

Reese Witherspoon has been pictured in handcuffs following her dramatic arrest in the early hours of Friday morning.

The footage shows Reese Witherspoon, 37, being led out of an Atlanta police station in cuffs before being unshackled and taken inside for booking.

Reese Witherspoon appears in a calm and co-operative demeanor, although the video – obtained by TMZ serves as another nail in her well-carved squeaky clean image.

The actress was arrested for disorderly conduct last Friday after her husband Jim Toth was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Talent agent Jim Toth, 42, apparently feels “awful” for getting Reese Witherspoon involved in his arrest and is overwhelmed with guilt.

A source told People magazine: “[Jim Toth] feels awful that he involved Reese in the situation. He made a bad decision and
it certainly made things worse that he dragged her into it.

“[He] has to pay the consequences, bottom line. He gets that.”

Jim Toth reached 1.39 on the sobriety test – over Georgia’s legal limit of 0.08 – when he and Reese Witherspoon were pulled over in the early hours of the morning and it is thought their “embarrassing” incident will cause him to look at alcohol in a different way.

The source added: “Jim has always been a big social drinker. A lot of his job is being social. He’s out to lunch or dinner almost every day of the week, schmoozing clients and taking business meetings.

“[The arrest is] just going to make the two of them stop and pause, and think about maybe how much Jim’s drinking plays a role in their lives – if it does or not.”

Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon, who have 7-month-old son Tennessee together, have been given bail until their court hearing on May 22.

Reese Witherspoon – who also has children Ava, 13, and son Deacon, 10, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe – has since made a public apology for her behavior.

Referring to disrespectful comments to authorities, which allegedly included the statement “you’re about to find out who I am”, the actress said: “Out of respect for the
ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now.

“But I do want to say I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.

“It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that was no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job.

“I have nothing but respect for the police and I am very sorry for my behavior.”

Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon’s friend Chelsea Handler told Entertainment Tonight that the actress was “doing fine”.

“She was just trying to protect her husband, so,” she said.

“I mean everybody makes mistakes, so it’s not a big deal.”

Chelsea Handler met up with Reese Witherspoon, her husband and a group of friends including Cameron Diaz, Michael Keaton, Judd Apatow, and Leslie Mann – two days after the couple’s arrest.

According to Us Weekly, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth joined their friends at the Greenwich Hotel in New York City.

Reese Witherspoon began dating Jim Toth in early February 2010, three years after her divorce from actor Ryan Phillippe with who she has two children.

Jim Toth and Reese Witherspoon married in Ojai, California in March 2011.

The officer reported: “Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and say that she did not believe that I was a real police officer.”

The law enforcer explained in the report: “I told Mrs. Witherspoon to sit on her butt and be quiet.”
