Gossard launches Glossies, a gravity-defying, sheer and minimalist bra which allows well-endowed women to show off their assets with confidence.

The new Gossard Glossies bras have been uniquely moulded to embrace fuller cup sizes, while being as sexy as those available to smaller women.

The product has seamless inner “secret sling” which gives extra lift and projection without using heavyweight material.

It also has a hidden wire for extra support, a double layered wing to provide an anchored position and balanced support system.

Gossard will launch their new range with sizes ranging from D to GG as part of their Autumn Winter collection, along with their standard A-D cup sizes.

The bras were trialed by plus-size women who each wore the bra for 50 hours each.

“For many years bra designers have stumbled when faced with the larger cup sizes, and this has meant less attractive lingerie for ladies with a fuller figure,” says Gossard head designer Stacey Lindsay.

“Historically bigger sizes have been based on the smaller sizes, but have sacrificed style to deliver the much-needed support.

“Our team has worked relentlessly to find a way to make it possible to offer our most minimalist and sheer bra for our bigger-breasted customers.

“It was a huge challenge, and we were pioneering never-tried before techniques. But we’re now 100% satisfied we’ve developed a design that stays true to the core cup sized bra, without compromising on style, comfort or fit.”

The bra manufacturer is famous for its sexy campaigns, which includes a controversial advert featuring model Sophie Anderton which was launched in 1996 with the strapline: “Who said a woman couldn’t get pleasure from something soft?”

Gossard managing director, Tony Jarvis, says he’s delighted that boundaries are being pushed to deliver a pioneering approach to meeting customer demand.

“At Gossard we’re constantly striving to push the boundaries and apply new technologies and techniques to give our customers what they want,” he said.

“Glossies in bigger cup sizes is just the latest evolution, with gravity-defying design.”

The Glossies moulded bra, in cup size DD-G is available in black, white, mocha and nude from www.gossard.com.

A bra has just gone on sale for $1 million in the quiet town of Birmingham, Michigan, where the population sits around 20,000.

Dripping in 500 carats of diamonds, and moulded out of 18 carat gold, the bra at Birmingham Estate and Jewelry Buyers took a crew of 40 workers almost a year to make.

Taking on the Victoria’s Secret $2.5 million bra, worn by Miranda Kerr last year, the this piece of lingerie consists of all natural diamonds, with 750 grams of gold, “solid gold”, said the store’s owner Anthony Aubry.

Victoria’s Secret’s piece de resistance during last year’s runway collection was the show-stopping $2.5 million Fantasy Treasure bra, covered in yellow diamonds and pearls.

But Anthony Aubry explained how his bra is unlike any other.

“The difference between this bra and the Victoria’s Secret bras is: the Victoria’s Secret bras have fabric in them and the diamonds are kind of imbedded into the fabric. This, there’s no fabric in it what so ever, it’s just solid gold,” he told CBS.

However the extravagant bra, weighing nearly 1 kg, has left many women confused.

Would anyone actually the item, or is it more of a showpiece?

Anthony Aubry, who named the bra after his wife, Rita, said: “If you just have that much money, someone would want it to say <<Oh, I have a $1million bra>>, or some people would put it on display at their house or something.

“And some people, believe it or not, would actually want to wear it.”

Either way, whoever owns the lavish lingerie is sure to gain some attention.

Anthony Aubry said: “We’ve had three different models wear this so far out in public at shows and it never fails to turn some heads.”
