The two women were found stabbed to death by Recep Cetin in a forest, near the city of Izmir, Turkey.
Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore, both 54, were persuaded to take a taxi with the 17-year-old boy on the pretext that he wanted them to meet his father.
Recep Cetin asked the taxi driver to drive off the main road and went into a forest where he reportedly slashed their throats and stabbed them repeatedly.
Shannon and Recep Cetin, who killed the two women near Izmir.
[googlead tip=”vertical_mediu” aliniat=”stanga”] Marion Graham’s daughter Shannon, 15, who is believed to be Recep Cetin’s girlfirend raised the alarm when the women failed to return.
Initially, during police investigation, the Turkish teenager denied any involvement with their disappearance and he was claiming he had suffered a cut hand trying to fight off kidnappers who had bundled the women in a van.
However, the police investigators found bloodstained clothing dumped in a bin near his home and confronted the teenager who eventually admitted he killed the two women.
Recep Cetin, who uses the name Alex, admitted he took the women in his father’s car to the forest near Buca, on the outskirts of Izmir, and stabbed them.
He appeared in court on Friday evening in a preliminary hearing.
Shannon’s father, Raymond McGuinness, was due to fly to Turkey on Saturday to bring his daughter home with the bodies of her mother and friend.
Raymond McGuinness said:
“He told Shannon that he had tried to stop the kidnappers and he had a cut on his hand and that’s how he suffered it.”
The two murdered women are from Newry in County Down, Northern Ireland, but were travelling on Irish passports, which is not uncommon.
Marion Graham had rented a house in the famous resort of Kusadasi, 60 miles to the south of Izmir and on the Aegean seaside, and she used to spend long time in there every summer.
Her sister, Monica Higgins, said:
“It’s absolutely devastating. We’ve just found out. My mother’s in the car crying her eyes out.
“We’re trying to work with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs to find out what exactly happened to her.”
Mrs. Graham’s daughter, Shannon was not with the women when they were attacked being on a boat trip out of Kusadasi for the day.
Shannon has been in a relationship with the Turkish waiter, who had been staying with the group, for 3 years.
[googlead tip=”lista_medie” aliniat=”stanga”]According to some local sources, Recep Cetin had been embarrassed by the attitudes of the British women, who enjoyed late nights and the company of local men. The sources also claimed Marion Graham had married a Kurdish man some time ago, but only four people were living at the house. It was also suggested that Shannon had begun to mix with a bad crowd during this year’s summer trip.
Kathy Dinsmore had been an employee of Newry and Mourne District Council. She also worked in a local cab firm up until last Christmas.
The two women had been regular visitors to Kusadasi for years, staying in an apartment owned by Raymond McGuinness.
Police is investigating now claims that the Shannon’s mother had refused to allow the young couple to marry, according to Turkish news agency Anatolia.
Waiter’s father and the taxi driver have been also arrested.
An Irish Embassy official was dispatched to support Shannon until her father arrival. She was comforted on Friday by a Kusadasi-based Irish hotelier at the police station in Izmir.
Recep Cetin family’s members have made uncorroborated claims that he has been beaten, subjected to electric shocks and had his fingernails removed by the police.
The Turkish police didn’t make any comment on the incident until now.

Gerard Depardieu, the famous French actor gave quite the show on Tuesday in a City Jet flight from Paris to Dublin when he reacted to the news he would not be allowed to use a bathroom until the plane was taking off by urinating on the plane’s carpet in full view of the fellow passengers.
The story surfaced on Wednesday morning, when an eyewitness, who was among the 127 passengers on board the Air France jet, went to the French radio station Europe 1 and recounted Gerard Depardieu‘s urinary performance.
Sources from Gerard Depardieu’s entourage has pronounced he attempted to urinate into a bottle “as discreetly as possible” while on a flight, and said he was “sorry” to have spilt some on a plane’s carpet.
Gerard Depardieu said he tried to urinate into a bottle "as discreetly as possible" while on a flight and he was "sorry" to have spilt some on the plane's carpet.
The famous French actor has had more than his fair share of controversy when he was caught short on a Paris to Dublin flight after the seat belt sign had been switched on for take-off. Waiting for the aircraft to take off, with the plane bathrooms, the 62-year-old actor called out “I need to piss, we need to piss”. But the cabin crew didn’t allow him to use the lavatory until the plane was achieving the cruise speed.
Given his “irrepressible need”, his companions, including a French actor Edouard Baer, offered him a dull bottle as a final solution for his need.[googlead tip=”lista_mica” aliniat=”dreapta”]
Gerard Depardieu left his seat and tried to relieve himself into an empty bottle at the back of the plane.
“A little urine was spilt on the floor, which the actor offered to clean up himself, saying he was sorry for the inconvenience caused,” companions said.
The jet was forced to return to the gate and was delayed for a further two hours as ground crew cleaned up the mess.[googlead tip=”patrat_mic” aliniat=”dreapta”]
After this incident, Gerard Depardieu, who was traveling with two companions, was thrown off the flight with his luggage and told to book another one.
“He was completely sober but desperate to relieve himself. At first he was told he had 15 minutes to wait, but then due to congestion on the runway, he was informed he would have to endure another 20 minutes,” Depardieu’s friends said.
Air France confirmed the incident took place in a statement to national TV station TF1, but said it was unclear what or whether action would be taken against the movie actor as the flight was operated by City Jet, a subsidiary of the national carrier based in Ireland.

The story surfaced on Wednesday morning, when an eyewitness, Daniele, who was among the 127 passengers on board the Air France jet, went to the French radio station Europe 1 and recounted Gerard Depardieu‘s urinary performance.
Gerard Depardieu urinated on the plane's carpet in full view of the fellow passengers.
Daniele said that Gerard Depardieu begged a flight attendant to let him in the bathroom, saying “Je veux pisser, je veux pisser,”(“I need to piss, I need to piss”) repeatedly.
The cabin crew asked the actor to wait 15 minutes for the plane to reach its cruising altitude and told him to remain seated during takeoff. Depardieu, who appeared inebriated, unzipped his trousers and “stood up and did it (urinated) on the ground,” according to the eyewitness.
“There and then he did it on the floor…” the witness said.
“No one said anything. It all happened with courtesy.”
[googlead tip=”vertical_mediu” aliniat=”dreapta”] After Gerard Depardieu relieved himself, the plane returned to its gate, where a grounds crew reportedly spent two hours cleaning up the mess.
“You could tell he’d been drinking,” the disgusted passenger claimed.

Gerard Depardieu, 62, arguably France’s most famous living actor, has enjoyed a career spanning four decades and well over a hundred films. He is best known outside France for the film “Green Card,” for which he won a Golden Globe best actor award.
Gerard Depardieu, who runs a vineyard when he isn’t acting, has a reputation for drunken antics. In 2009, he literally beat up a car near his home — smashing the windshield with his fist — and in 1990 was convicted of drunk driving.[googlead tip=”lista_mica” aliniat=”stanga”]
The actor’s turn in the role of public urinator is just the latest instance of what seems to be a growing trend: peeing-on-a-plane stories. A drunk skier may have peed on a sleeping 11-year-old last week and, in June, a drunk Jetstar passenger relieved himself in the aisle of a Singapore-bound jet.

The woman was swept over Horseshoe Falls, which straddles the US-Canadian border and is the widest and most spectacular of the three cataracts that comprise Niagara Falls.
Police warned tourists Monday not to climb a railing at the top of Niagara Falls after an international student from Japan fell off the edge and was swept over the falls on the weekend
Police on the Canadian side of the falls, where the accident apparently occurred, said the unidentified woman was enjoying the view from an area known as Table Rock about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Another woman with her was not injured. News reports identified the pair as students in their 20s and said the incident was captured on surveillance video and that no foul play was suspected.
Niagara Parks Police and emergency workers combed the area with helicopters and boats, but couldn’t find the woman, who is presumed to have drowned.
Search crews instead found male remains in a whirlpool of the lower Niagara River, but police said there is no connection to the missing student.
[googlead tip=”patrat_mic” aliniat=”stanga”]“The woman, who came from Japan and studied at a Toronto-area school, was visiting the falls with a friend around 8:30 p.m. Sunday,” police said.
She climbed over the railing and straddled it to look at the falls. When she stood up, the student apparently lost her footing and fell into the river 24 metres (60 feet) upstream from the brink of the falls. The swift current swept her over.
“Scaling the wall is clearly dangerous and prohibited, but visitors do it every day,” said Niagara Parks Police Chief Doug Kane.
Still, the police chief said it’s the first time he’s heard of a tourist tumbling off the edge in that spot.
“We get about 11 million people a year here who view that annually – this is the first occurrence of this nature that I can recall,” said Doug Kane, who has worked in the region for 35 years.
Police said the incident was captured on surveillance video and foul play is not suspected.
Authorities were working with the Japanese consulate Monday to contact the student’s family.
Early Sunday, a 27-year-old man survived an almost 10-metre fall down the Niagara Gorge.

Budapest, Hungary. Police unearthed four bodies of suspected murder victims in a wooded area of Budapest’s Csepel Island, according to a Friday statement of the Hungarian National Bureau of Investigations (NNI).
Hungarian police unearthed four bodies of suspected murder victims in a wooded area of Csepel Island
A Hungarian couple and a Serb national were reported to be in connection with the murders, based on the declarations of a victim who managed to escape. The victims were thought to be buried from the neck down on the Danube’s Csepel Island in order to give their cards PIN codes to the assailants.
Laszlo Bartha, a NNI’ spokesman said that for the moment police did not wish to confirm the number of suspects.
The NNI’ statement said that the precise cause and time of death, as well as the circumstances were being examined by forensic medical experts.
The NNI statement also said the police launched a murder investigation and would not reveal any further details for the time being.
[googlead tip=”vertical_mediu” aliniat=”dreapta”] A correspondent of a Hungarian newspaper, Magyar Nemzet, talked to a young Hungarian ethnic from Romania, who had narrowly escaped to be killed after being buried from the neck down in a hole in the ground.
The victim said the Serbian man, whom he knew, invited him for a beer with friends – a homeless couple in the woods – last week. He said the three suspects attacked him when he arrived, strangling him and demanding to give them his credit card and PIN code. After telling them the code, the suspects went to withdraw money from ATM, leaving their victim buried in the ground with his hands tied behind his back.
The victim said that after managing to break free and after fending off the dog his captors had left behind, he went back to his lodgings in Csepel and alerted the police. On his way home, the young man appealed to several people for help but nobody was willing to give the first aid to a man, who was bleeding and covered in mud.
According to Hungarian press reports, the police arrested the Serbian suspect within 24 hours, but did not make the arrest public before the suspect made a confession.
“So far, six individuals are into preliminary custody in connection with the bodies unearthed on Budapest’s Csepel Island few days ago,” a Hungarian National Bureau of Investigations official, Zoltan Csizner said in Budapest on Saturday during a press conference.
“The suspected ringleader, who was also arrested, claimed to be a Macedonian citizen, but there were no available documents to prove his nationality,” Zoltan Csizner told at press conference. Citing the interests of investigation, he told reporters not to ask any questions.[googlead tip=”patrat_mic” aliniat=”dreapta”]
“The four bodies still remain unidentified and the circumstances of their death are being examined by forensic experts,” he said.
Csizner did not rule out that the six suspects taken into police custody now are belonging to a Csepel homeless gang whose three members were arrested in spring under the suspicion of armed robberies and whose clapboard dwellings were close to the site of the unearthed bodies.
Six individuals are into preliminary custody in connection with the bodies unearthed on Budapest's Csepel Island
The Macedonian Foreign Ministry said on Friday there is no notification from the Hungarian authorities regarding the arrest of any Macedonian citizen in connection with the murders.
Police suspects that the series of murders happened over a period of several months without the knowledge of the authorities due to the peripheral lifestyle of the homeless people, which went beyond the bounds of social or police control.

U.S. General, John Allen said Wednesday that NATO international troops found out where militants were hiding and launched an air strike on the place.
Allen, who is chief commander of allied forces in Afghanistan ISAF (International Security Assistance Force), made the statements during a press conference held in Washington.
The NATO-led ISAF statement said also that, during allied forces air strike, the Taliban leader Mullah Mohibullah and the insurgent who is believed to have fired the rocket that broke CH-47 Chinook helicopter were killed.
Taliban who shot down a Navy SEALs helicopter in Afghanistan were killed.
[googlead tip=”vertical_mic”]According to MSNBC, NATO reported that the air strike was called in once the insurgents were tracked to a wooded area, and that no civilians were harmed in the attack.
Last Friday night, a helicopter carrying US commando troops was shot down by Taliban rockets. 38 people, among which at least 20 soldiers from the elite Navy SEAL, unit that killed terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, have died after the NATO machine crashed in eastern Afghanistan, in an area controlled by Islamist militants .
There were also seven Afghan soldiers killed during the attack.
The Taliban have said they were responsible for shooting down the Navy SEALs with a rocket-propelled grenade.
Monday, an Afghan official said:
“We can now confirm that the helicopter was shot down and it was a trap of a Taliban commander.”
The helicopter was attacked from both sides of a valley, the only way of access from Sayd Abad district to Wardak, which were controlled by the Taliban.
“The Taliban knew the route the helicopter will go on,” official said, adding: “the rebels have taken positions on both sides of the valley, in the mountains, and when the helicopter approached, they attacked with rockets and other modern weapons”.
[googlead tip=”lista_mare” aliniat=”stanga”]Saturday, two US officials confirmed , under anonymity, that aboard attacked helicopter were 22 members of SEAL Team, the secret Navy commando unit that killed Osama bin Laden in May 2011. Three Air Force air controllers, seven Afghan soldiers, a dog and its trainer, an interpreter and the crew belonging to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment were also aboard the helicopter.
It is not known if among the Saturday dead soldiers were those who took part of al-Qaeda leader killing mission in early May 2011, but official sources said it was “unlikely” to be about the same soldiers.
Sources said that shooting down of the Chinook helicopter with the Navy SEALs on Friday night is the largest ever recorded loss of lives of SEAL Team Six unit, known as The Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and the single deadliest loss for US forces since the war began 10 years ago.
Tuesday, President Barack Obama visited Dover Air Force Base to pay his respects to those soldiers who had died and whose remains were flown home in two C-17 cargo planes, according to ABC 7 News in San Francisco.
After last weekend two nights of violence and looting following protests at Mark Duggan’s death on Thursday, London Police and residents are again bracing themselves for disruption.
The today riots began in Hackney with a small blaze of a terraced house, but the flames quickly spread and appeared to have engulfed all three floors.
Local police officers said shops in Hackney began closing their shutters after hearing “rumours”of trouble initially emanating from BlackBerry Messenger exchanges. Most of the stores had locked up by early afternoon as support officers began arriving in increasing numbers in the vicinity of Hackney Central railway station and three masked youths riding bicycles appeared on the main shopping thoroughfare of Mare Street.
After last weekend two nights of violence and looting following protests at Mark Duggan’s death on Thursday, London Police and residents are again bracing themselves for disruption
The new street violence started shortly after a large group of police detained two men against the wall of Hackney’s Old Town Hall
The new street violence started shortly after a large group of police detained two men against the wall of Hackney’s Old Town Hall building, now a betting shop, and a crowd gathered to watch, many of them photographing the events. After some brief skirmishes and an angry verbal tirade against a police cluster by a young woman in the graveyard to the rear of the betting shop, an officer shouted to a colleague to “get the Natos,” a reference to riot helmets.
Groups of rioters began attacking the officers at about 16:20 p.m. local time, throwing rocks and a bin at officers.
A line of riot police was confronting people, some of them masked, while police helicopters were flying low overhead.
Some of the youths tried to rush the police line, they were throwing rocks. The police pushed back, sending the crowds running down Mare Street.

Police vehicles and officers in helmets holding riot shields eventually blocked off access to Mare Street south of its pedestrian Narrow Way section and the railway bridge, as buses backed up along adjoining Amhurst Road.
The rioters were about 100 running battles with police at the Bethnal Green end of Mare Street
The rioters were about 100 running battles with police at the Bethnal Green end of Mare Street. Youths were looting shops, including the boarded-up Texaco garage. Bottle banks on Mare Street have been upended to provide ammunition for launching at police. Many of them were walking around with spoils of their looting, swigging from bottles of Martell.
Pale, the owner of the looted Texaco garage on Mare Street said:
“They just barged in, took everything … that’s 24 years of my life gone. I’ve never seen anything like that. I didn’t try to stop them, my life is worth more than that.”
Even the Co-operative Funeral Care Home on Mare Street was boarded up – next door they are looting the Cash X-Change.
Reactions of the viewers varied from a man telling an officer moving a youth on to:
“Get your hands off him, pig!”
to an afterschool club worker declaring to police that
“These kids shouldn’t be out here, they should be back in their yard,”
and saying that if she was in charge of dealing with rioters she’d “tear gas their asses”.
Traffic was backed up, buses were stopped, most of them being empty and hit by stones. Police cars were also being smashed by youths, who were armed with wooden poles and metal bars. Looters also smashed their way into shops, including a JD Sports store, before police lines dispersed the group. Planks of wood taken from a lorry were then hurled towards riot officers.
Trains were not stopping at Hackney Central and buses are being diverted from the area.
Looters smashed their way into shops
Violence has also broken out in Peckham, South London, where a bus has been torched on Peckham High Street.
In nearby Lewisham, a trail of bins and a number of vehicles were on fire.
At 7 p.m., local time, police have regained control of Mare Street.
A large numbers of masked youths were still in the area at that moment. Car burned out on Ellingfort road off Mare Street.
A policeman says they were busy “sterilizing the area”.
Boris Johnson, London’s mayor cut short his holiday to return to the city, where more than 200 people have been arrested and 35 officers injured.
Home Secretary, Theresa May also returned early from holiday, to meet Acting Metropolitan Police (Met) Commissioner Tim Godwin and other senior officers.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Stephen Kavanagh said they discussed the police response to the violence.
“They were looking at preparations for tonight (Monday) to make sure any violence is dealt with quickly.”
Theresa May condemned the riots as “sheer criminality” and said those responsible would “face the consequences of their actions”.
“The riots in Tottenham on Saturday night and the subsequent disturbances in other parts of London are totally unacceptable.”
She also paid tribute to the bravery of police officers and urged local communities “to work constructively with the police to help them bring these criminals to justice”.
Theresa May said at least 215 people had been arrested and 25 people charged.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner, Stephen Kavanagh said there were “significant resources” on the streets, with a third more officers on duty than on Sunday.
“What we can see is that the Metropolitan Police are getting police officers there in numbers”.
“When we have large numbers of criminals intent on that type of violence, we can only do that, get lots of officers there quickly and try to protect local businesses and local people.”
He also admitted relations with the family of the man shot dead by police could have been handled better.
In addition, Stephen Kavanagh said:
“I want to apologise to the Duggan family because I think both the IPCC (Independent Police Complaints Commission) and the Metropolitan Police could have managed that family’s needs more effectively.”

Firefighters arrived on the scene to put out the blaze.
Police inspected the crashed car
The actor Rowan Atkinson was taken to hospital after his car crashed, reports said.
Atkinson’s spokesman could not immediately be reached.
Rowan Atkinson was driving his McLaren F1 supercar – one of the world’s fastest road cars. The McLaren F1 car he was driving is one of the fastest road cars ever made, with a top speed of 230mph. Only 106 were ever made.
Atkinson, known to be a car enthusiast, recently topped the leader’s board on Top Gear’s star in a reasonably priced car segment. The star’s love of fast cars is well documented.

He told presenter Jeremy Clarkson he was keen on racing and was currently driving a 1964 Ford Falcon.
Rowan Atkinson had only just finished filming the latest edition of the spy spoof movies Johnny English and was due to attend the last day of editing in preparation for the film’s release in September.
Now that’s not happening, according to R. Rodney Howell, the chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s board. Mr. Howell also said in a statement that Jerry Lewis had been “released” from his position as national chairman of the association, but did not explain why. Representatives for Jerry Lewis did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Muscular Dystrophy Association said,
“Jerry Lewis is a world-class humanitarian and we’re forever grateful to him for his more than half century of generous service to MDA. We will not be replacing him as MDA national chairman, and he will not be appearing on the Telethon.”
MDA did not say who would replace Jerry Lewis as the host of the 24 hour event.
This announcement came a few weeks before the telethon, which Jerry Lewis has hosted since 1966. This May Jerry Lewis said he was retiring from the show, a television staple, but he had planned to appear on it this year. But while Jerry Lewis fans won’t be able to see him on this year’s telethon, the Encore cable channel announced today that on October 22 it would offer the premiere of “an original documentary” about him.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association’s decision might be partly because of comments Jerry Lewis made last weekend at the TCAs. When asked what his role would be with the telethon, he answered:
“I didn’t mean to sound rude. But you have to assume the question you asked was motivated by something, and it had to be a little emotion. And I have to tell you the truth. September the 5th, the day after that program, I will have an international press conference with press from Reuters and London and China and Taiwan and all over the world, and I will have plenty to say about what I think isimportant. And that’s the future, not the past. Okay.”
It seems he will show us what really happened the day after the Telethon that no one will be watching.

Following hijacking the aircraft and also requesting ransom two hundred thousand from the Federal bureau of investigation, DB Cooper made a ambitious evade through the use of parachute.
Forty years afterwards, brand new proof suggests the authorities may finally be hot on the path of America’s most mysterious fugitive. Nevertheless what are the latest facts?
[googlead tip=”lista_mare” aliniat=”dreapta”] Around the night before Thanksgiving of 1971, a guy who named himself Dan Cooper (a press reporter being employed by among the many wire assistance misheard the name of the hijacker, and ever since then he has been referred to as D.B. Cooper, as an alternative to Dan) dressed in a suit and raincoat, wandered up to the Northwest Orient desk at Portland’s airport and spent $20 on a one-way ticket to Seattle.
On the flight, he used some dark sunglasses, purchased a whiskey, lit up a cigarette and coolly given the stewardess some text. In capital letters, DB Cooper’s note read:
I HAVE A BOMB IN MY BRIEFCASE. I WILL USE IT IF NECESSARY. I WANT YOU TO SIT NEXT TO ME. YOU ARE BEING HIJACKED.
Just what happened next would give Cooper the place in the pantheon of US folk heroes. [googlead tip=”patrat_mare”]
D.B. Cooper requested the stewardess to inform the next require to the plane’s captain: he wanted $200,000 and a number of parachutes, and in return, he’d allow 36 people to leave the aircraft as soon as the plane arrived in Seattle. The FBI, swiftly called by ground control, organized the swap, and when the airplane was sky-bound again, with only the pilot, co-pilot, one stewardess and DB Cooper on board.
The hijacker’s directions were to head for Mexico, keeping an altitude under 10,000 feet. Then, somewhere above the lower Cascade mountains, 25 miles north west of Portland, D.B. Cooper launched the plane’s aft stairs, stepped out, and, with one of the parachutes strapped to his back, jumped into the raining, cold November night and has been never seen or observed from again. [googlead tip=”vertical_mare” aliniat=”dreapta”]
By the moment military helicopters were scrambled, on November 24th 1971, to search the land north of Portland for a six-foot-tall white man weighing one hundred seventy to a hundred seventy five pounds, “DB” Cooper was long gone – most probably possibly dead or packing away his parachute and trudging through mud and rain to make his escape.
Over the previous 40 years since that chilly night, there have been more than 1,000 DB Cooper suspects, a number of deathbed confessions, a film (starring Robert Duvall), as well as well more than a dozen books. As one person told legendary Cooper tracker Alex Hannaford, DB Cooper is the “Bigfoot of the Pacific Northwest.”
