Silas Merritt Robertson is Phil’s youngest brother, a Vietnam War veteran, and preacher.

Si Robertson is kind of like the Kramer of Duck Dynasty. He is known for his storytelling, his constant use of the phrase “Hey, Jack!” and his ever-present blue plastic cup, which his mother sent him while he was stationed in Vietnam.

He is often filmed carrying around a jug of sweet tea and he loves pizza.

Si Robertson married his longtime girlfriend Christine Raney (who is not featured on Duck Dynasty) in 1971. They have two children together – Trasa Cobern and Scott Merritt Robertson – and eight grandkids.

Phil Robertson played college football at Louisiana Tech University, starting ahead of Hall-of-Famer Terry Bradshaw, and was drafted by the NFL after his junior year by the Washington Redskins.

He turned it down and quit football because it interfered with duck season.

Phil Robertson is known for his dislike of modern technology (he proudly admits that he does not own a cellphone or a computer).

Celebrities have also sent plenty of gifts. Victoria and David Beckham, who were guests at the wedding, are said to have sent designer clothes over to the palace, while celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and his clothes designer wife, Jools Oliver, who has her own line for Mothercare, have reportedly sent Prince George a collection of collared onesies and a new pair of navy cruiser shoes. Mothercare has also reportedly sent Prince George his very own plastic Kensington Palace, complete with a figurine of himself.

A very special bottle of Pinot Noir from the Central Otagowine region in Queenstown, New Zealand, which Prince William and Kate Middleton visited in April, has also been sent to Kensington Palace. The magnum of Pinot Noir harvested the year the prince was born will be laid down in the cellars for George’s 18th birthday.

Lady Gaga celebrated her 28th birthday on March 28 with a short concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City in her first of seven concerts at the closing venue.

Lady Gaga performed for an hour Friday night in front of a feverish crowd. She started with a slow version of Born This Way on piano, with the audience joining in.

The singer followed that with the jams Monster and Bad Romance. She danced and sang on the side of the stage in a red tight leotard.

“Thank you so much for spending my birthday with me,” Lady Gaga yelled to the audience, which included her boyfriend Taylor Kinney and Nate Ruess.

Lady Gaga was in top form as she sang nearly a dozen of her songs, including Just Dance, an acoustic version of Poker Face, and the recent hit Applause. After Lady Gaga ended, fans waited for her to hit the stage again.

She performed some tracks from her recent album, ARTPOP, which has struggled to match the success of her other releases. But onstage, she showed no signs of slowing down.

The New York-born singer closed with the new single, G.U.Y., now wearing an all-white ensemble (her sixth costume change for the night).

Lady Gaga will perform six more shows at the Roseland Ballroom, helping close the famed venue that opened eight decades ago. Her final show at the Roseland Ballroom will be on April 7.

Chris Brown celebrated his 24th birthday – which is actually on May 5th – at the Emerson nightclub in LA on Friday night, with former flame Karrueche Tran but without Rihanna.

The move is sparking rumors that there might be trouble in paradise for Rihanna and Chris Brown once again.

Rihanna, 25, is currently in New York for her Diamonds World Tour, and sources have revealed that work commitments are preventing the couple from finding much time to spend together.

A source told HollywoodLife: “It’s up and down sometimes, the s**t is even sideways. Every time some s**t pops off between them, they blast that s**t all over social media, and they shouldn’t.

“But when they’re far apart, that’s how they act out towards each other when one of them doesn’t get their own way. It’s crazy as f**k, but it’s how they get down.”

Possibly trying to take his mind off his far-away girlfriend, Chris Brown hit LA to celebrate his upcoming birthday with some famous friends.

The singer was joined by Christina Milian, David Hasslehoff, Chloe Green and ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran as he partied the night away.

Chris Brown kept it casual for the celebration, wearing khaki-colored chinos and a white T-shirt. He wore an open chequered shirt and completed his look with a pair of black hi-top trainers.

Karrueche Tran – who was dumped by Chris Brown when he got back with Rihanna last year – showed off her slimline figure as she helped her ex celebrate.

Topshop heiress Chloe Green also attended in a white see-through top and leather trousers.

As President Vladimir Putin turns 60 years old, it appears he is still a hit with the ladies as a new survey reveals one in five Russian women would like to marry him.

The active President, who is often pictured horse riding topless, hand-gliding and driving Formula One race cars, turns 60 tomorrow.

But that doesn’t seem to have had any impact on his charm – with 6% of Russian women saying they “definitely would” marry Vladimir Putin while a further 14% said they probably would.

Just 43% said they “definitely would not” want to walk down the aisle the President, who has ruled the country for 12 years, in the survey by the independent polling station Levada.

But while President Vladimir Putin may still appeal to a high percentage of the female population, it appears that he isn’t as popular with the remaining electorate.

Vladimir Putin has been facing growing pressure as protests continue against Russia’s rigid political system and repressive Kremlin laws that have provoked wide-spread discontent.

Utilities fees and other municipal payments rose during the summer and look set to continue to rise throughout the winter.

Analysts warn that the government would quickly run out of cash to pay wages and pensions if Russia’s energy revenues dry up. Even with the current relatively high oil prices, the Kremlin has been struggling to raise funds for a planned pension reform.

Vladimir Putin has pledged repeatedly to ease Russia’s dependence on energy exports, encourage high-tech industries, create incentives for small and medium business and improve the investment climate.

But oil and gas revenues still account for the bulk of the government budget, while red tape, rampant corruption and courts bowing to official orders have spooked investors and stymied economic development.

Stanislav Belkovsky, a political consultant with past ties to the Kremlin, said: “Putin hasn’t moved a finger to change the economic model established during his 12-year rule, and he can’t be realistically expected to make any changes now.”

During the latest election campaign in March, Vladimir Putin made generous pledges to raise wages and pensions, as well as boost social programs and the military budget.

But even Cabinet officials have acknowledged that his promises can’t be fulfilled without destabilizing the economy – meaning he could face trouble whichever way he turns.

After his inauguration, Vladimir Putin cracked down on his foes with a slew of draconian laws that hiked fines 150-fold for taking part in unauthorized protests, decriminalized slander and required non-government organizations that receive foreign funding to register as foreign agents.

Vladimir Putin has suffered a gradual decline in popularity but he still enjoys majority support largely thanks to the absence of a strong alternative after years of Kremlin efforts to sideline the opposition.

But for now he seems safe in his position and his adoring supporters will come out in their masses to celebrate his birthday tomorrow in cities from Siberia to Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia, where the ruling party’s loyal Young Guard will unfurl a banner on a bridge which they say symbolizes Vladimir Putin’s role by uniting Asia and Europe.

Opponents will make their feelings known much closer to home, protesting near Moscow’s Red Square under the banner: “We’re sending the old man into retirement.”

The organizers plan to send their own symbolic message by asking protesters to bring gifts suitable for a pensioner – anything, perhaps, from reading glasses to a pipe.

The man himself will be relaxing with his close family and plans no special celebrations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Just a few months into a third term as president, he may be reaching retirement age, but has no plans to retire.

After 12 years as Russia’s paramount leader, opinion polls show Vladimir Putin enjoys higher ratings than most Western politicians, but they are down from their peak during the oil-fuelled economic boom of his first presidency from 2000 until 2008.

Marc Anthony seemed to crack under the emotion when he ended up weeping live on stage in Miami and cried when his fans sang him happy birthday.

Marc Anthony, who turned 43 on September 16, soon composed himself, and gave a trademark blisteringly passionate performance for his fans.

The latino singer performed mostly in Spanish, but still managed to keep the enthusiastic audience on their feet all night.

At one point Marc Anthony again hinted at his recent heartache after the breakup of his marriage, he introduced his suffering in love song Until I Met You, Hasta Que Te Conoci, and called it “complicated”.

Visibly touched, Marc Anthony has thanked the crowd for “all your love and support, especially this year; it means a lot to me.”

Later in the evening, his teenage daughter Ariana presented him with a three-tier, black and white birthday cake, while the crowd serenaded him once again.

Marc Anthony said: “Who in the world could say they’re spending their birthday like this? I’m a very lucky man.”

But Marc Anthony did not stop there, as around midnight he went to a private birthday party at Club 50 inside Miami’s Viceroy Hotel with around 150 close friends.

When Marc Anthony was asked what he wished for as he was blowing out the candles, he cryptically replied that he “already had his wish.”

However, Marc turned out to be a bit of a party lightweight as after telling chums he was issuing an “executive order to stay, drink as much as you can and party all night,” he slunk off to get some rest before the rest of his weekend concerts.

But before he left Marc Anthony added: “I feel like I am home, thanks for showing up. It’s mind-boggling.”
