Speculation Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had finally wed comes after a magazine report in early December claimed the pair had picked up their wedding rings from celebrity jeweller Neil Lane.
InTouch magazine wrote: “On November 27, a stylist for the actress picked up wedding rings from Neil Lane jewelers for the couple.”
In November, Brad Pitt told reporters on the red carpet of the New York premiere of his film Killing Me Softly the nuptials would be “soon”.
He said: “The time is nigh. It’s soon. I got a good feeling about it.
“I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt famously met on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith in 2004, when Brad was still married to first wife Jennifer Aniston.
However, by January 2005, Hollywood’s golden couple had separated with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s romance finally being confirmed in April that year when they were photographed on a beach in Kenya with their now jointly-adopted son Maddox.

They also adopted son Pax from Vietnam in March 2007, and Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne in France in July 2008.
If the couple have indeed wed, it will be the second marriage for Brad Pitt and third for Angelina Jolie.
Brad Pitt wed Jennifer aniston in a lavish ceremony at a private house in Malibu in July 2000 after a two year courtship.
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie wed English actor Jonny Lee Miller in March 1996 with the groom’s name written in blood on the white T-shirt she was wearing.

However, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton split in May 2002 shortly after adopting son Maddox from Cambodia.

“I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come,” Brad Pitt said at the New York premiere.

According to People magazine, Brad Pitt said the fact they have been together for so long does not lessen the importance of a wedding.
“We’ve had a family, we’ve raised the kids,” he said.
“I am surprised how much it meant to me once you had that.”

When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie descended on Ickham, Kent, UK, and rented a luxury village cottage, complete with grand piano and shag carpets, even the landlords didn’t believe it was actually them.
Angelina Jolie, 37, even took their six-strong brood to the village shop to buy sweets and magazines, while Brad Pitt, 48, was rumored to have popped next door for a pint in the local pub.
Brad Pitt had returned to Kent as he was re-shooting scenes from upcoming blockbuster zombie movie World War Z.

Preparations for a huge party at the French home of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have sparked fevered speculation that they are secretly preparing to marry.
Guests, including Brad Pitt’s parents, have arrived at the chateau ahead of the bash, to be held at Chateau Miraval this weekend.
Jeweller Robert Procop, who made Angelina Jolie’s $250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring, is also thought to be in attendance.
The couple’s engagement was revealed back in April, after seven years and six children together.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now.
“They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweller is here.”
Guests are said to include George Clooney, who is currently a short flight away at his home on Lake Como, Italy.

The source added: “There’s a real buzz around the estate.”
It is thought that the couple will wed in a private chapel in the grounds of their home, with civil ceremonies only allowed at the town hall in France.
“We don’t know anything about it,” Patrick Mareschi, deputy culture secretary of the nearby village of Correns, told Reuters.
“Under French law couples have to get married at the town hall. Unlike with a religious wedding, there’s no way a couple can hold a civil ceremony at their own home,” he added.
It has long been known that the pair was planning to hold their wedding at their $55million estate in the South of France.
After their engagement was announced it was learnt that a huge reception hall was under construction at the Provence home.
Aerial images of the site in February showed a large white building being erected next to the quaint chapel.
Angelina Jolie has been married twice before – to British actor Jonny Lee Miller between 1996 and 1999 and then Billy Bob Thornton, from 2000 to 2003.
Brad Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston lasted five years before they announced they were divorcing in early 2005 – which came after he had met Angelina on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Brangelina – as they became known – quickly became a Hollywood power couple, with a brood of six children, Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, five-year-old Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, aged three.
The couple once insisted they wouldn’t wed until the legalization of same-sex marriage in America.
But Brad recently admitted he didn’t feel they’d be to wait that long because of mounting pressure from their children.
“It seems to mean more and more to our kids,” he said in January.
“We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to [get married] till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out … it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”
Angelina Jolie has also said that their children often ask why they aren’t married like “Shrek and Fiona”.
Angelina Jolie said just months ago: “We’ve explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have.
Actress Angelina Jolie has reportedly been left furious after her boyfriend Brad Pitt’s mother Jane insisted on buying girly clothes for her notoriously tomboyish granddaughter Shiloh.
Despite Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and her five siblings being allowed to choose their own clothes by their famous parents, Jane Pitt is said to have purchased a series of feminine outfits for the six-year-old.
According to the Evening Standard, Angelina Jolie found Jane Pitt’s move “disrespectful” for her to buy such clothes for Shiloh, considering it is well known that she likes to dress in similar style to her brothers.
A source told the newspaper: “It’s well documented that Shiloh likes to dress like a boy.
“But Jane still insists on buying her fairy costumes and princess dresses, which Angelina finds very disrespectful.”

It is the second time this year that Angelina Jolie has been left angry by Jane Pitt, after Brad’s mother wrote a letter to a local newspaper in the United States urging Americans to vote against President Barack Obama in the upcoming elections because of his support for gay marriage.
In a letter to the Springfield News-Leader in Missouri urging support for Republican candidate Mitt Romney, Jane Pitt wrote: “Any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who are prominent supporters of gay marriage and President Barack Obama, were said to be appalled by the letter.
They once said they would not marry until same-sex marriage was legalized in the US, but became engaged after pressure from their six children.
The source said: “Brad and Angelina were devastated by Jane’s actions. They have worked hard campaigning for equality, working closely with Barack Obama.
“Angelina called Jane and told her she believes she’s setting a bad example for the kids.”
A source told Star magazine at the time of the letter: “Jane has never wanted to talk politics with Angelina.
“She knew it would cause greater issues for them, and she wanted to try to have a relationship with the mother of her grandkids. She never thought her letter would be such a big deal.”
Brad Pitt once said of his mother’s outspoken views: “She’s very loving, very open, genuine, and it’s hilarious because she always gets painted as a she-devil.”
There were once rumors that Jane Pitt and husband Bill did not get along with their son’s long-term partner, favoring his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston instead.
But such myths were dispelled when they stepped out together in December last year to support Angelina Jolie at the premiere of her first venture in the director’s chair, In the Land of Blood and Honey.

Angelina Jolie has reportedly picked her wedding date with the help of a Buddhist monk.
Angelina Jolie, 37, is expected to marry fiancé Brad Pitt this summer and sources close to the star have revealed she will chose the top secret date with some spiritual help.
A source told the National Enquirer: “Angie has used Buddhist astrology in the past to help her pick the best or most auspicious days for important moments in her life.
“She’s relied on the Buddhist calendar to plan medical procedures and vacations for herself, Brad and the kids. She’s even used it for picking the dates of her movie openings.
“That’s when Angie was completely converted to Buddhist astrology and she’s not taking that chance with Brad. Angie is convinced the date of their union will guarantee their future happiness.”

Shiloh may be only six, but Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s oldest daughter has already developed her own sense of style. Her mom describes her as being a bit of a tomboy, with Shiloh preferring to wear boy’s clothes, including suits.
“I think she [Shiloh] is fascinating, the choices she is making,” Angelina Jolie said in a 2010 interview of Shiloh’s sense of style.
“And I would never be the kind of parent to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting…
“Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth. Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go.”
