North Yorkshire Police have ended an inquiry into Jeremy Clarkson’s fracas with Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon.

The police report said there is “no need for further action” against Jeremy Clarkson.

Although Oisin Tymon did not wish for police action on his behalf, the force still had to make “routine enquiries”.Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson and Oisin Tymon

It added that now all the interviews were complete, it “would not be pursuing this matter any further”.

Oisin Tymon was punched by Jeremy Clarkson at a hotel last month.

The attack occurred following a row over a lack of hot food after a day’s shooting.

Oisin Tymon suffered swelling and a split lip in the assault on March 4 and visited a hospital for his injuries.

Jeremy Clarkson was suspended by the BBC on March 10 before it announced on March 25 his contract on Top Gear would not be renewed.
