Lady Gaga, who is back from Chicago after celebrating her birthday in the city with boyfriend Taylor Kinney last week, has been left reliant on a wheelchair after having an operation to repair a labral tear on her right hip two months ago.

The singer has been recuperating in style with the help some very extravagant accessories.

As well as her designer Louis Vuitton ride, Lady Gaga has also been pictured in a lavish 24-carat gold plated wheelchair, which she commissioned from luxury brand Mordekai.

Ken Borochov – who is the creative genius behind Mordekai – designed the wheelchair and although he has worked with Lady Gaga before he was shocked to receive such an unusual request.

In an official statement, Ken Borochov previously said: “I certainly wasn’t expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the <<Chariot>>, a chair fit only for a queen.”

Lady Gaga was forced to cancel the remaining 25 dates of her Born This Way Ball US tour after sustaining the hip injury.

The Born This Way tour began in Seoul, South Korea on April 27, 2012 and was originally due to end in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 20, 2013.
