Kendall Jenner had no trouble stealing the limelight from her big sisters as she posed in backless dress for the annual Kardashian-Jenner Christmas card.

As Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian smiled for the camera, their little sister sat at the front showing off her best model pose in her daring choice of outfit.

This year’s card saw all the family gather for the annual tradition, including two new members – Kourtney Kardashian’s daughter Penelope and Kim’s tragic kitten Mercy.

Adorable Penelope can be seen gazing wide eyed at the camera, a white lace band on her head. And little Mercy can be seen crouching inside a cube, her white hair fitting perfectly with the theme.

Sadly since the card was shot the kitten has been put down after the four-month-old was discovered to have a virus that had attacked her internal organs.

Also seen in the card are matriarch Kris Jenner and her former Olympian husband Bruce, who put on a show of unity after denying rumors of marital discord.

Kim Kardashian shared the car online, writing: “Here it is!! Our 2012 family Christmas card shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni! We had such a fun time shooting this!”

But all may not be as it seems.

Khloe Kardashian has admitted that she and husband Lamar Odom, 33, missed the photoshoot for the card and had to be added in later with the help of some computer wizardry.

Appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show last month, the 28-year-old said: “We pretend that we’re always together. The powers of cameras and Photoshop.”

Khloe Kardashian was unable to attend the photoshoot for the annual Kardashian-Jenner holiday card, and so she and husband Lamar Odom, 33, had to be added in later with the help of some computer wizardry.

Khloe Kardashian’s younger half-sister Kendall Jenner, 17, had to be digitally added to the picture, too, as she was sick, as did Kourtney Kardashian’s partner, Scott Disick, 29.

Khloe Kardashian’s husband Lamar Odom – who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers basketball team – also missed last year’s dazzling 3D Christmas card shoot because he had a game.

She said: “That one we were all in but Lamar was Photoshopped because he had a game. It’s hard with his NBA schedule. Damn men with a career!”

When they are able to coordinate schedules, however, Khloe Kardashian says Christmas is always a big family affair, though it can get crowded in the Kardashian household.

She told Ellen DeGeneres: “Every Christmas, we’re always together. Step-brothers, sisters, everything. All 10 kids and then everyone’s extended girlfriend, boyfriend, this, that…”

Khloe added as the Kardashian siblings have gotten older and had more serious relationships, the cast of characters at Christmas largely remains the same – though she is surprised Scott Disick – who has children Mason, two, and 4-month-old Penelope with Khloe – is still a part of the family.

She said: “Now we’re sticking together. Who knew, I’m surprised Scott’s still around, but he’s here.”
