Christina Aguilera has revealed that Summer Rain Rutler is the name of her daughter with fiancé Matt Rutler.
The singer made the announcement via Twitter late on Sunday, August 17.
Christina Aguilera, 33, and Matt Rutler, 28, welcomed their daughter into the world on Saturday, August 16, at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre, Us Weekly reported.

Christina Aguilera already has one son, Max, 6, by her first husband Jordan Bratman, but baby Summer Rain is Matt Rutler’s first child.
The happy couple announced on Valentine’s Day this year that they were engaged to be married, after meeting on the set of her 2010 film Burlesque.
Christina Aguilera has stayed out of the spotlight for most of her second pregnancy, something the new mom has relished. She tweeted in April about how excited she was for the months to come.

Prior to her weight loss, in an interview with Lucky magazine, Christina Aguilera said she was totally unrepentant about the way her clothes advertise her assets.

The advert for Christina Aguilera’s Royal Desire perfume – a fragrance first released in 2010 in the UK and 2011 in the U.S. – shows the singer in a pale pink strapless dress, with her hair worn short and curled in the style of Marilyn Monroe.
Especially considering that even two years ago, when Christina Aguilera’s shape and style were dramatically different than her new look, her entire anatomy still appeared to have been given an unsubtle overhaul.
Having seen the advert used in a U.S tabloid magazine this week a writer for Jezebel observed that there are several instances in which Christina Aguilera’s body has been distorted to the point that it is anatomically incorrect.
Her wrist, to the left of the frame, is perhaps the most obvious. In a likely attempt to slim-down the entire arm, the retoucher, it seems, had trouble with the joint and ended up making it too long and awkwardly bent.
But the apparent anatomical creative licence didn’t end there.

The other arm has been made to look as though there are two different elbow points, perhaps some clumsy effort to create a shadow, but it is an unfortunate effect.
Nor, the site points out, is the star’s face unscathed.
Writer Dodai Stewart comments: “The chin’s been sculpted, but then someone couldn’t figure out how to make it look normal where the shoulder meets the neck, so it just turned into a valley of shadows.”
There is just back wall where the waist and the hip on the right should meet – and almost certainly would have done in the original photo.
We’re sure that the kneecap and shinbone in her front leg were in alignment originally too – though apparently the retoucher believes they look better with a twist.

Christina Aguilera has opened up about her struggles with weight and the pressure put on her by record industry executives to be skinny.
The Voice star told Billboard magazine: “During the promotion of Stripped in 2002 I got tired of being a skinny, white girl.”
Christina Aguilera, who has natural Latin curves, said: “I am Ecuadorian but people felt so safe passing me off as a skinny, blue-eyed white girl.”
“The next time my label saw me, I was heavier, darker and full of piercings!” the five-time Grammy Award winner laughed.
“Let me tell you, that wasn’t an easy pill for them to swallow. I had gained about 15 pounds during promotion and during my Stripped tour.”
“They called this serious emergency meeting about how there was a lot of backlash about my weight,” she said.
“Basically, they told me I would effect a lot of people if I gained weight – the production, musical directors.”
“[They claimed] people I toured with would also miss out if I gained weight because I would sell no records or tickets for my shows,” she adds.
“I was young, so I lost the weight quickly and was toothpick thin during Back to Basics promos and touring.”
But this year, older and wiser, Christina Aguilera was ready to hit back at music execs.
When it came to working on the soon to-be-released CD, Lotus, she told them: “You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it.”
“They need a reminder sometimes that I don’t belong to them. It’s my body,” she said.
“My body can’t put anyone in jeopardy of not making money anymore – my body is just not on the table that way anymore.”
After the failure of her 2010 album Bionic, Christina Aguilera hopes that Lotus, in stores November 13, will mark a comeback.
“This album represents a celebration of the new me.
“And to me the lotus has always represented this unbreakable flower that withstands any harsh weather conditions in its surroundings.
“It withstands time and remains beautiful and strong throughout the years,” she said.
“I tried to infuse as much as I could to promote strength and inspire people with that message,” Christina Aguilera explained.
“And now I’m at a place at 31, where the last time I felt this way was when I was 21.. and I had a lot to say and a lot to express.”
Shakira and Usher have signed up as mentors for the next series of The Voice in America.
Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green are taking a break from the NBC show, which is currently airing its third season.
The fourth series will also feature original coaches Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and Blake Shelton.
Cee Lo Green is developing new music and a sitcom based on his life for NBC, while Christina Aguilera is going on tour to support her new album.

Christina Aguilera released a statement saying: “As I have expressed since day one of the show… I am a singer and performer first and I am so excited to get back to that love.”
She confirmed that she would be eager to return to The Voice in the future as did Cee Lo Green who said he will be back for series five.
Christina Aguilers also encouraged Usher and Shakira to make themselves at home in the coaches’ chairs.
NBC entertainment chief, Bob Greenblatt, said that the network was glad to support Aguilera and Green by allowing them to take time away from the program.
Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter and dancer whose song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) was chosen as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
More recently she has been working on a new album.
Usher is one of the biggest selling artists in the world, whose recent hits include OMG and Yeah! He is also credited with signing Justin Bieber.
He also recently appeared on Oprah’s Next Chapter to discuss the custody battle over his two young sons and the death of his stepson Kile Glover after a jet ski accident.
