Neat Freaks, a new TLC special, chronicles the weirdest and wackiest sanitation habits that seem perfectly normal to many clean-obsessed people.

The one-hour show features Alfreta, a woman who not only cleans her own bathroom, but all the public bathrooms, and strangers’ houses she visits as well.

I clean once a day, but once a day is all day,” Alfreta says on the show, premiering Wednesday, December 5th.

She added: “Bathrooms seem to be my thing, a dirty bathroom is disgusting to me. I don’t care where you go, they should always be clean.

“I use my toothbrush to get all the little residue off the fixtures. I use three big bottles of bleach a week. On the sink, the bathtub, behind the shower curtain, but especially on the toilet.

Alfreta reveals that she uses half a bottle of bleach each time she cleans her toilet, which she pours into the tank, to keep “not only the bowl clean, but the tank clean also”.

In the kitchen, Alfreta admits she is just as bleach-obsessed.

“I bleach again, bleach is your friend people!” she says to the camera.

Pouring a cap-full of bleach into a bowl mixed with water, Alfreta adds: “I use this bowl to clean my fruit. Any fruit you eat, from what I learned on the doctor shows, is that it’s all contaminated with insecticide.”

“With the orange, wash it completely,” she demonstrates.

“With the apple, get right down into the core.”

As she takes a bite, Alfreta says: “I have no fear of eating this apple now.”

The show also features Christy, who spends up to ten hours every day scrubbing down every inch of her home, hyperventilating at the thought of anyone stepping inside it.
Meanwhile Michele adopted eight school-age children because she finds the snot and drool of infants repulsive – even from her own grandson.

Afraid of germs, Caleb sprays his home and his body with hydrogen peroxide, and insists on spraying down his dates before being intimate.
