Australian TV reporter Mike Amor was hit in the head by a skateboard while recording a news item at Venice Beach in California.

Mike Amor, a correspondent for Australia’s Channel Seven, wass reporting to camera on the edge of a skatepark at the beach when a stray board hit him in the back of the head.

Just seconds after Mike Amor says to the camera: “You’d be right to be skeptical, thousands of traditional skateboarders”, a board comes flying out of the bowl and hurtling towards the unwitting reporter’s head.

The reporter was not seriously injured and carried on recording the news item shortly after the incident.

Mike Amor has had a 25-year career that has seen him cover the 9/11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina and the Libyan Rebellion.
