Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison make their debut at Couples Therapy

Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison have been eyeing up a spot on a reality show for ages, and now the controversial couple have finally made their debut.

Appearing on VH1′s Couples Therapy, tension immediately flared between the odd Hollywood couple and other participants of the show.

The 34-year-age gap and Courtney stodden’s sexy outfits shocked Shayne Lamas and her husband Nik Richie so much, that he called her “trash”.

Dressed in an orange bra and micro-mini skirt, the then 18-year-old Courtney Stodden found herself quickly at the center of attention from the rest of the cast.

When Nik Richie was asked if he knew who the blonde bombshell was, he replied: “Of course, she’s the trash all over the internet.”

Quick to defend his teen bride, Doug Hutchison raised to his feet and confronted the man, saying: “Did you just call my wife trash?”

Former Housewife of New York star Alex McCord had to get in between the two men to prevent them from getting physical with each other.

Courtney Stodden herself also had a battle of words with Nik Richie’s wife, actress Shayne Lamas.

“You look very uncomfortable, which is kind of sad,” Courtney Stodden told the actress.

“I’m only uncomfortable when I see somebody trying to put on a show,” Shayne Lamas snapped back at her.

The show was riddled with awkward moments between the controversial couple, as they admitted they are having some problems with their big age difference.

“I call him <<Dad>> instead of <<Doug>> sometimes,” the teen quipped.

“See this is the thing, I am raising my wife!” 52-year-old Doug Hutchison then laughed.

In another awkward moment, Doug Hutchison was asked if he had any children and Courtney Stodden replied: “Me!”

However, the teen doesn’t seem to be too affected by the shocked reactions she caused on the show, or by being called “trash” by other contestants.

Taking to Twitter, the blonde wannabe singer wrote: “Couples Therapy was hilar! Love VH1 ”
