Anita Henderson Harris, topless and drunk woman arrested for attacking a city worker

Anita Henderson Harris from Winfield, Alabama, who flew into a rage and stripped off her clothes, has been arrested for allegedly attacking a city worker.

Anita Henderson Harris, 44, had been drinking when she started arguing with a friend and removed her shirt and bra.

Topless, Anita Henderson Harris headed towards a storage facility in Heflin and came across Terri Daulton and allegedly began to attack her.

Terri Daulton, who had been feeding animals at the building used to house pets awaiting adoption, was stunned when the crazed woman came through a back door.

“She pulled my hair as I was trying to get out the door,” Terri Daulton told the Anniston Star.

“I was just trying to get out of her way.

“It was a little scary. It was kind of just one of those things I can’t even explain.”

Terri Daulton, who sustained minor injuries, added that it was possible Anita Henderson Harris was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

“First, there was the appearance, and she was a little staggery,” Terri Daulton said.

“Not having a lot of clothes, and it being so cold last night, it was good indication things were not well.”

Heflin police Capt. A.J. Benefield said Anita Henderson Harris was visiting with a friend at the Heflin Hills apartment complex before the attack took place.

“The friend said she flipped out and took her shirt and bra off and went into the parking lot and started screaming,” A.J. Benefield said.

Police were able to retrieve Anita Henderson Harris’ clothes from the apartment after the arrest.

They added there was no motivation for the crime.

Anita Henderson Harris is charged with assault third degree, burglary third degree, criminal mischief third degree and resisting arrest.
