The Prodigy delivered a high-octane performance as they kicked off the last weekend line-up at the 2011 in Budapest.

 

Headlining the main stage on Friday at Sziget Festival, the electronic group unleashed a career-spanning set, including hits as Breathe and Firestarter.

Despite  The Prodigy arrived in the Hungarian capital few hours before taking to the stage, front men, Keith Flint and Maxim were on their typically energetic and provocative form.

“For all my warriors in Budapest, for all my warriors in the UK,” Maxim shouted at the crowd before Smack My Bitch Up was performed.

 

In the first part of The Prodigy’s set, Maxim also paid tribute to Dizzee Rascal, who preceded them on the main stage.

“Mr Rascal and crew this is f*cking for you,” he said, as they launched into Poison.

The Prodigy was backed by an impressive lights show, closed out their performance with their classic hit, Out Of Space.

Dizzee Rascal took to the stage before Prodigy, using his appearance to preview a batch of new , including the song Bassline Junkie.

 

Another Dizzee Rascal’s song – thought to be entitled Scream – included a female vocalist, and is along the lines of his more recent chart hits.

Dizzee Rascal, the British rapper constantly paid tribute to the Hungarian crowd, who responded by dancing along to songs included Dance Wiv Me, Holiday and the worldwide smash, Bonkers.

Sziget Festival 2011 continued on Saturday, August 13 with the performances of and , who have replaced the late Amy Winehouse at the festival.

Sziget Festival is one of ten best major festivals in Europe, which is held in Budapest. The 2011 edition is held from August 8 to August 15 and 52 stages and meeting places with artists from 41 countries are presenting a great variety of genres on Óbudai-sziget (Óbudai-island) of Budapest.
